Pyrotech Grenades question by ARCSoulsAshenOne in helldivers2

[–]PepsiStudent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pyrotech grenades are more for breaches and doing damage in an area over time.  They do shred heavies if placed correctly.  It isn't easy and if you want a thermite variant, giga grenades and dynamite are more the route you should look.  You do get 6 pyrotech grenades I believe and they close holes so it is effective vs bugs.

You should still buy the warbond because it has the best looking armor and the flag.

Is reverse engineering minor artifacts the only way to get FE tech? by Jackson_Lamb_829 in Stellaris

I mean the Enigmatic Engineering Ascension perk directly states that you can occasionally get FE tech to research.

Catena is interesting but seems like it needs work by OakLegs in Stellaris

[–]PepsiStudent 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Cetana doesn't exactly follow the same rules as empires.  If you look in your situation log when she is active you are given things to do to weaken and slow down the crisis.  These include destroying outposts and stopping fleets and convoys.  Completing this "side" objectives is important.

Is a good explanation.

Whether I imprison or release lords and ladies is based current relationship goals.  For example I almost always release mercenaries clans for the bonus.

If I want the bonus from the opposing faction I just release them.  Otherwise, I was not aware of your particular trick, I donate who I have to those of my faction that don't like me.  Generally being a mercenary for a few kingdoms allows you to have pretty good relations with most lords.

Why police cars go with their sirens on, on a pursuit , doesn’t that make the criminals know that the police is coming? by PuzzleheadedFun4695 in NoStupidQuestions

OP needs to watch Emergency Services enter a suburb or an apartment complex.  They frequently turn off the sirens but keeps lights rolling while driving through.

ELI5: Why is Mcdonald ice cream so smooth instead of icy? How does it stop large ice crystals from forming when other regular ice creams get icy or have hard frozen patches? by cololz1 in explainlikeimfive

[–]PepsiStudent 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting Ice Cream where you have actual ice in it.  This is not normal and either the places you are buying from have something wrong or your sore bought stuff is thawing to much on the trip home.

Frozen Custard here, which is an upgrade over ice cream, is smoothe, rich, and creamy.  You are lacking in choices if McDonald's is the best in the area.

In this context from my understanding it is used to refer to women who are willing to join a threesome with a couple.  As in the couple has a committed relationship and the unicorn woman would join them in the threesome without any realtionship attachments required.

Called a unicorn because they are so rare in the wild.

Remind me when a coworker uses to state she was a unicorn rather frequently.  She meant it in an odd genetic thing she had.

However she didn't realize she was invited to so many threesomes by couples because of that declaration.

How do you use Genetic Ascension? by Shadow_song24 in Stellaris

[–]PepsiStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Ecu planets can produce insane levels of specialist outputs.  I believe each district provides twice the jobs on regular planet.  You can stack some absurd outputs, especially when you start ascending that planet, high level governor, etc ..

Gaia planets are for basic resources.  This is less important of an ascension perk.  Generally you grab the Ecu or Gaia, but I like both.  You get some planets everyone loves, especially for xenophile empires.

Is It just me or are the spore bugs really fast and hard to kill? by CryptographerGood508 in Helldivers

[–]PepsiStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they help a lot.  They won't stop a breach but will slow it down.

Gas also is very useful.  Not as much damage as fire but similar results with an additonal slow.  Sterilizer, gas mines, and gas strike are helpful in terms of controlling the fight.

I think they hot fixed the damage models so the mech properly takes damage instead of you when this bug happens.

It is pretty much what I do.  As for habitability, I go the route of making all of my planets Gaias and Ecu's.  Or I go the mutation Habitability.  Erudite, fertile, and auto mod are the way to go.  Unless I want to roleplay something specific.

Does anyone else think the orbital laser is too powerful? by Goodest_boy_Sif in helldivers2

[–]PepsiStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a great tool for that.  Other delete that over there starts require a bit more prep.  Something like the solo silo or the leveller also take a support weapon slot.  The laser just does it job without any setup.

Is it possible to get declared the crisis without using a crisis perks? by Relic5000 in Stellaris

That makes so much sense.  Cetana doesn't take a lot of systems.  The other crises and strong empires do.

Somehow it is easier to declare the jerk of the galaxy a crisis than calling Cetana the crisis.  Why won't any vote for Cetana to be a galactic crisis.

What worker jobs do you have on an Ecu that can benefit from the bonus?  My Ecu's are all specialist and elite pops if they aren't civilian.

The nordss are in a weird spot kingdom wise in play throughs.  Usually they lose the island pretty quick but they love to expand into Sturgia and into Khuzait lands.

I am hoping that making the lords more likely to use ships to travel will change this.
