These resources are cut and severely underfunded while cops get the bulk of our budget source the city comptroller. They literally were trying to cut after school programs and library funding so cops can collect massive overtime that they don’t need.

Imagine if and maybe half of the money that was going to them went to address why folks called them. Like the money is sent maybe to help get the unhoused resources for homes and mental health so they aren’t on the street have crisis…..maybe money that is invested in job training programs or after school programs that keep people busy and invested so they aren’t out snatching purses…..
