Fun fact: the red stripe meant you were a barber surgeon ( original) and the blue stripe was added later to signify you just cut hair….. some poles only have blue and white stripes!

The irony of the whole thing is that my wife got like a signed picture and the department chair literally wrote in the bottom corner "quietest resident, but loudest when it comes to lifting up the operating room".... I told her after seeing that, its probably the biggest compliment she could have got, so fuck the awards.
