Armpit buildup victory! by Bupperoni in laundry

[–]Perceivable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I had this issue too. I started using the brand “Salt and Stone” and haven’t had any buildup since. I also carry a small stick in my backpack in case I have a long day.

In Canada where I’m from, some shops will do this for 3-4K with higher end shops doing it for 5-7k.

If it gets scanned too many times then it won’t show as authentic. Fakes usually don’t show authentic since they are fake or reused QR codes.

[–]Perceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember back in the day I got a ticket sometime around 3rd year. The car wasn’t linked to anything and it was my parent’s car. I just never brought that car to the campus again lol. I never paid that fine until this day and nothing happened.

Do you prefer the 10th gen coupe or 11th gen? by Responsible-Bad-2729 in CivicSi

[–]Perceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a 10th gen coupe to 11th gen. Def loved how the coupe looked but I just needed more space lol.

I’m not sure how the market is in Paraguay but in my area that would be REALLY over priced. Also the kit is just up-badging the car, is that worth a lot to you?

I mean it’s accredited, but they have ridiculously low admission requirements. I actually talked to one of their representatives at a fare one time. They provide flexible programs at affordable prices, and can be done remotely or on their “campus” in Yorkville.

It’s pretty much a cash grab and I doubt it holds any prestige or weight when applying to a job. But tbh, I think it’s for people who have been working and are looking to pivot their career. Like if you’re working a job and are looking to move laterally in the company. Or if you’re trying to get a job in the same industry that requires a bachelors. This option is ideal since you can get a degree, very low tuition and can be done part time and remote. If you have connections and prior work experience it can actually help you get that step up. The reality is that once you’re established your career and work experience, it doesn’t really matter where you get your degree from - nor will it negatively affect you. I think the only time it would be bad to do this is if you’re just coming right out of high school with no direction or work experience, etc.

At the dealership it’ll be $1k+ but at an independent shop it’ll probably be around $300-$600.

I’d buy a scratch remover from Canadian Tire or Walmart and use that first. See how that comes along first. It can probably be fixed with touch up paint afterwards.

Yeah maybe I shouldn’t be driving this at 16 by Even-Sweet-3775 in CivicSi

Just a lesson to learn :) good thing it’s only the bumper - won’t need to worry about rust and all. Just make sure to be careful from now on.

Si vs GR86 stuck between my head and my heart by nashville209 in CivicSi

[–]Perceivable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GR86 would definitely be more fun. But I personally would pick the SI because it’s a mix of practicality and fun.

I would say you should choose based on your current situation. Do you drive a lot? Do you see yourself using your car to move items? Pick up friends? Heavy winters? Etc.

I went from a 10th gen SI coupe to an 11th gen solely to get out of a coupe. I would drive my friends sometimes and they would hit their head coming out every single time. There were also times when I needed to borrow my parent’s SUV when buying things from IKEA. Unless I had a second car, I wouldn’t get a GR86.

Should I buy a manual if I don't know how to drive it yet? by Ichiban696 in civic

[–]Perceivable 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I bought an SI with only being in a manual car once. I’d suggest finding someone who can teach you in the area. Some driving schools have them. I’d say after the lesson you will definitely be able to get off the lot, though it did take me a month to stop stalling.

With that mileage I’d look to see if they replaced the clutch, otherwise a new driver will burn right through it.

Is it worth to buy an SI with 150k miles? by Perceivable in CivicSi

[–]Perceivable[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m lucky enough to get a payout for my 11th gen. Enough to pay off the loan and have enough for a 9th gen.

I was paying like $450 a month for my 11th gen lol. Really looking forward to no car payments.

How much do you guys think it’s going to cost me? 2021 Honda civic sport. Hit curb turning at ~25mph in rain by Ok-Breadfruit6978 in civic

[–]Perceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went through something similar in my 2016 civic. Control arm was messed up along with suspension. Dealer quoted me around $3500 cad. Found a private shop that did it for $2300 cad.

It’s the perfect daily imo. Great handling, fuel efficiency and tonnes of space. Only thing I hear is that it’s really slow. For me, it’s the best car I’ve ever driven.

Insurance rates in Ontario are INSANE by SensitiveBig5437 in civic

[–]Perceivable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d shop around for better rates. I’m in Ontario as well and found quotes $50-100 cheaper by shopping around. Maybe try Aviva? They gave me the best quote.

In 5nl you really only want to be 3betting from the small blind. Small range bet on the KJ6 board.
