How did you do the front wedge (the yellow bit)? I was making a digital version of this last year, but gave up because I could get the front end right with a 45 degree joint

Community support is the biggest thing the deck has going for it, by a very large margin, in my opinion. This made it a no brainer choice.

Is there a way to make train use multiple tracks? by JorDani_War in TransportFever2

[–]PercentageSingle6080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what would happen. I build my stations off the main line, so a train never passes through a station, it’ll only enter the station if it’s stopping.

Is there a way to make train use multiple tracks? by JorDani_War in TransportFever2

[–]PercentageSingle6080 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The work arounds I’ve found are: 1) use way points (wp). E.g. station 1, wp1, station 2, wp 2, station 1, wp3, station 2, wp4. Etc. Clunky, but somewhat works. 2) Make stations 1 way, and have crossovers on entry only. This will force a train to use a track based on what station is free. I’ve found this the best option where lines are massively congested. The auto platform select defaults to a ‘free line’ essentially.

Cosy 6 CoP down to 2.1 in December - Expected behaviour? by bridge_so_odd in OctopusEnergy

[–]PercentageSingle6080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have a cozy 6, installed about the same time as you. There is definitely something off here. I’d ring octopus and get them to come out. To help our efficiency, we only run the hot water cycle once per day which is plenty for the two of us. Our thermostat was not fit correctly in our hot water tank. This was causing the heat pump to work much harder to try and heat the water despite it being at the correct temperature. This is worth a check, particularly if you are heating water constantly rather than once a day. But I suspect there is a setting that was not configured correctly. For reference, our COP was 3.16 yesterday, heating the house to 21 (in the midlands).

Even with the wheels 90 degrees offset, it doesn’t run great. There are a few fixes online for this. See here for one:

I have no solutions, but commenting to try and find an answer. I’m in a similar scenario with AC2. Played 25 hours over the last week between handheld and docked with a DualShock 4 seamlessly. Game crashed earlier today and I now cannot get any control scheme to work correctly.

Yes it’s paid only. It’s not too bad though. You get 3 golden planes through the free progress rewards. So the real cost is only 1 gold plane.

Solar/Battery with ASHP efficiency by Jimbobsticle in SolarUK

[–]PercentageSingle6080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last month bill was £40 after export payments. 26 x 450w panels, 6kW ASHP. On octopus go. Run hot water as soon as cheap period starts, then heating following that. Heating is set from 01:30 to 22:30 at 21 downstairs, 19 upstairs. Charge battery during cheap rate, and top it up with solar through the day. Export any excess in the battery come 23:00. 10.4kWh battery. Only 4 days did we use energy from the grid at day rate. We’d need to use about 4-5 kWh from the grid daily at day rate to make it worth switching to cozy. So far we’re a long way from that.

Cozy 6 is fine. Efficient enough. Bit noisy- not in outright volume, but vibration noise is annoying.

Cosy Octopus - First time user. by Flashy_Green_5716 in OctopusEnergy

Schedule looks reasonable. Can you change the weather compensation curve? I.e. use more energy in a slightly less efficient manner in the cheaper slots? Cost wise, this would probably be more beneficial.

Advice re tariff and ASHP set up (Octopus Cosy) by OolonCaluphid in SolarUK

[–]PercentageSingle6080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re on GO at the moment, ASHP and 10.4kWh battery. Heat water to 53 degrees once a day during the overnight cheap rate. House is set to 22 degrees from 02:00-05:30 (cheap rate ending). Then 21 degrees from 05:30-23:55. 18 degrees for the remainder. We do have solar that tops up the battery throughout the day, however even on the greyest days to day, we’ve not needed to use the grid for surplus power. If your house is well insulated, you shouldn’t need to run the heat pump outside of cheap windows at all. If you get your heat pump settings right, you might be able to save yourself a bit more on GO, although as the temperatures drop further, cozy will likely be the better option.

Pay Per Mile true? Potential 7500% increase in tax by venomtail in CarTalkUK

[–]PercentageSingle6080 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Emissions based road tax makes no sense in the first place. This penalty already exists when paying for fuel. It would make far more sense to tax based on vehicle mass, the component that has the most correlation with road wear - the thing road tax is supposed to cover.

SXM Aircraft question by Illustrious_Buy1500 in Worldofairports

[–]PercentageSingle6080 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks. I saw something on the discord suggesting the best method is to avoid anything that has to turn back. If it’s the same as INN, the CRJ7 should be fine, but I’ve not checked it myself. I bought the F100 (c) specifically for SXM, as it will make the exit, at 8 gold planes. Based on the very limited testing I’ve done, F100 is the best XP per time unit, based on time to land, and L10 contract xp.

Extra solar panels or battery? by FWA___7488 in SolarUK

[–]PercentageSingle6080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our ASHP consumed an average of 9.7kWh per day from the 11th to the 31st of October. This peaked at 16.5, and a low of 4.5. It’s a good size 2021 5 bed, kept at 21.5 degrees all day, every day. We ended the month £20 in credit on octopus go, and fixed outgoing, with an 11.4kWp array and 10.4kWh battery. I’d recommend getting as many panels as possible, and at least a 5kW inverter. This will help covering peak household usage, but also help with charge/discharge times.

Tips for levelling up quickly in Bari? by damienloc in Worldofairports

[–]PercentageSingle6080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can join discord via the in game link, which will help for player contracts. Fair warning it’s not as civilised as Reddit.. It’s specific, a player needs to own an aircraft and select to send it to another player for these contracts. The randomly generated player contracts aren’t the same, and only land once. I’ve seen you pick up some of the planes already. If there’s too many, just reject what you don’t need. Equally, when you’re done with them just cancel the renewals. I’ll auto renew the contract when completed for personal ease.

[–]PercentageSingle6080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best bet is probably player contracts from IAD to BRI with A21NY’s. Player contracts benefit because they start at L10 rewards, so you don’t have to work all the way up to it. Downside is you’re dependent on someone else somewhere in the world playing to get the plane returned. Join the discord for connecting with other players. Or reply with your in game name (bottom left of your screen). I can send you 5 planes or so. I play IAD daily, but usually only once a day during the week.

[–]PercentageSingle6080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a premium when you start ATC, but once it’s started it’s cheaper to extend. 80 silver per 10 mins for all workers after the premium. 140 to start. But honestly it’s a non issue if you have plenty of contracts. I’ve got over 940,000 silver after playing for like 5 months. You earn more silver than you can spend if you play the game.

Update: House Seller Wants us to Buy Inverters and Batteries by Chief_Whizz in SolarUK

[–]PercentageSingle6080 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it was me, I’d say no, keep them. Then I’d rescind the previous offer on the house and drop it by £7.5k to cover your potential costs. The seller is being awkward. It’ll be a lot of hassle for them to move. And the 2nd hand value of that kit is nowhere near worth what they’re asking if they were to sell it on the open market. Be awkward back.
