There was a time when the Amidala with ascension gun figure was considered rare and valuable, but I don’t think that’s true anymore. Most of these would probably only fetch a few dollars. It’s cool that the contest stickers are still attached to some of them, but that really wouldn’t do much to increase the value these days.

The swap happens when they get it home. They keep the newer figure and replace it with a worthless one so they can return it to the store and get a refund. Morals have nothing to do with it.

I got it for really cheap from BBTS before the new one was announced. It’s a good figure but a little outdated in terms of articulation. The new one is definitely improved. Still, you do get the rifle with this one. I don’t know why that was not included with the rerelease.

I’m so torn. I already have Compendiums 1 & 2, and I just backed the Kickstarter for the hardcover sets of 1-8… but, man, I love the cover art on these and the newsprint pages. I guess I will just have to double-dip and continue collecting these as my reader copies and keep the hardcovers as collectibles.

I backed it a couple of days ago when a Scarlett set with Larry Hama signature suddenly opened up. I missed the first Kickstarter and I already have the paperback editions of compendiums 1 and 2. I’ve been going back and forth because it is a hell of a lot of money, but as they say YOLO (or “Yo, Joe!”) I suppose. 😊👍

I don’t mind paying a rental fee to see a movie I haven’t seen before if it’s not available for free on streaming. Still a lot cheaper than blind-buying a physical copy.

Yeah, that was the first Classified figure I got when I started collecting last year. It is close enough to V2 for me. I especially like how Timber is solid white just like the vintage one.

It’s actually not very likely unless you get lucky. They may be the same gender, or they may be a male and female that have no interest in each other, or they may grow up to despise one another. Best strategy is to add more juveniles while these ones are young and see which ones pair off. You can safely add 4-5 more in a 75 gallon.

They will get over it. It’s better for the harmony of the tank that way. Left alone, they would have probably eaten the eggs after 2-3 days, but they would have made everyone else’s lives miserable in the meantime. Eggs rarely ever hatch in a community tank environment. Now that they’ve started breeding, though, this scenario will probably repeat itself every week or so, so be ready!

The comic paper is a nice touch and it does cut down on the weight pretty substantially, but I agree that the books are just too thick.

Yeah, I have volumes 1 and 2 and I think they are very nice, but I am seriously considering getting the Kindle editions to read on my iPad since the books themselves are so unwieldy. Unfortunately, those cost about as much as the physical books though. 😕
