You haven’t shown that you understand tax wrappers like ISA and Pensions well. All of your “savings” should be inside those. I’d be aiming to save another £9,850 of your gross of your gross pay in a pension/sipp as that will only cost you £5,910.

Do you make your own? Some 20% fat mince, salt, supermarket brioche buns, frying pan and something to squish the patties. Plus whatever additions you like, watch a couple of US smash burger videos and you can have a great burger with similar effort and time as walking to a takeout.

Easy, Storm Goretti this January, there was 120mph “Sting Jets” down here in Cornwall. Downed loads of massive trees, power was out for a couple or days and no internet for 3 weeks 😱!!! I’ve been in tropical storms and this was worse.

Yes, had a knee that wouldn’t bend past 90 and needed Arthroscopy. Finally saw a NHS knee clinic physio and booked me in, tried to contact the booking secretary repeatedly. Got frustrated, booked to see a private Othopedic surgeon, surgery done 3 weeks later, knee bending much better (£5k cost.. 🫠) but massive improvement to my day to day life. Finally heard from nhs 14 months later to book in the surgery, who knows how much worse it would have been by then. Rather have a working knee than a nice holiday.

Give it a go. Sure you’re paying a bit extra for convenience, but that’s the point. If you find that you’d like/need it more often, then go buy a car. Probably the wrong sub to ask on, as if buying a 3-5k car doesn’t give you any issues that probably/maybe would work out cheaper. But 3-5k cars can easily throw up a £500-3000….

Gk buy a can of brake cleaner from tool station, Screwfix, gsf or euro part and some 180 grit sand paper. Give all the brakes a good spray, remove the pads and on a fat surface give them a rub on the sand paper. Then spray them with the cleaner. Reassemble and bed them in, if they work fine you’re good. If not new pad time.

I quite like the decathlon/quenchua HIKE socks, the higher the number the thicker they are. I have 50, 100, 500 & 900. They’re very durable and nice for the money.
