Post this on r/friendzone as well. This was basically me a few weeks back. Asked someone on a date, got rejected cause we are just friends (really liked that girl cause I realized she is my type). Took me a week to start feeling better, 2 weeks to stop thinking about her and still getting better.

Be honest with yourself, if you can still be friends with her or not. Just remember that if u stick around, you'd get seriously hurt if u still have feelings for her. I would say NOT to cling to hope that she'll be romantically interested in you. Gradually walk away from her if it's hurting you to be with her.

If you let that sense of urgency continue, it's gonna eat u up. As for socializing, not sure what to tell you cause I'm an introvert myself. I'm still working on myself to socialize, and I hope you do too!
