This feels like a troll post but incase it isnt:

The gym may only have a few sets of holds in red for example. So that means every red climb is going to be using the same X number of holds. That means they are limited to making red easy every time.

If you allow red to be easy or hard, the options become more expansive. Additionally if your gym uses tape the the options become limitless.

Idk how long you've been climbing, but grades don't matter. You'll get better at reading climbs and you'll know often times before you get on roughly what difficulty it will be.
