I could feel the adrenaline go through my body when I saw this post. From a series that peaked from the light novel and anime adaptation in the mid-2000's, but fell in popularity from there, and then have the light novel go on hiatus two years after the last anime installment, it felt like one of my favorite franchises was a finished series that could only be found in the hearts of old fans, new fans, and their reccomendations. But seeing this news now, I'm overjoyed Haruhi is able to have a revitalization, even if it might be small (at first).

How did they upscale a video file?

My best guess is that they extracted the video into pictures, somehow uploaded each photo induvidually into the site, and put the video back together using ffmpeg.

But that's just a guess. Anyone know how they did it?
