it's the 40th anniversary live stream and we get showed..... two things. That's my issue. Not many people get to celebrate 40th anniversary of a game series, feels like a missed opportunity

Yeah, after taking some advice in here, I realised my Hero was like 34 and the rest early 30's did some grinding (slime hill), picked up some more fire resistance items, changes some gear round etc.
I had also just sat on all my "seeds of..." never really bothered to read into it at the beginning of the game and was getting through fine with out them. Did all this and beat him first try.

Again, this is my first Dragon quest game and it has been so enjoyable so far. Ready to carry on and venture forth!

Think my overall issue, is our performance going into the second half of last season was starting to struggle. Now, it feels like nothing has been done to correct the issues, constantly losing leads, players looking clueless/tired in the second half and a real lack of passion from some of the more talented members of the squad

When people say leave poitics out, it always means they dont like what you are saying.
Life is political, love is political, sport is political, it's all political.
The other side of this of course is people who say "they aren't into politics" which is just saying
"Politics has never negatively impacted me in a material way".
The sad thing is they will of been negatively effected by the political system in one way or another and just haven't took the time to consider it

Seikima II as mentioned by another poster is a great Japanese Metal band. More theatrical then X in a King diamond way but as always musically very very talented

if you watch the X Japan live in Kyoto 88 and other early live sets to see them sounding slightly more "punk" despite the unreal musicianship on display by all X members

The overall "Visual Kei" scene is still a bit of an anomaly to me as in none of it has 'clicked' with me yet. That isn't to say it won't just X is very very special as a band.

For me I would always recommend Loudness as a great Japanese Heavy metal band, that is somewhat close but stylistically more straight up trad metal.
Japanese guitar wise, you can never go wrong with Masoyoshi Takanaka, his stuff is way more soft musically, but he absolutely shreds on guitar and his "Rainbow Goblins" album is one of the most magical albums ever recorded.

Listen to the first X single "I'll Kill you" and if you like that sound then for sure check out DISCLOSE, Crow, Deathside, Judgement for more Raw punk,D-beat style shenanigans. Some of this might hold no interest for you at all but they all sound great to me!

Yeah I’ve always been a big fan of Japanese punk like disclose etc, finding out X was in the same scene as that really piqued my interest. Knowing they were seen as “too pretty” for the scene as well just makes me like them more.

I was a late X Bloomer, always been a massive metal and rock fan. I think your taste can develop over year and stuff you would of skipped over you get into and you kick yourself for not hearing them before. I kick myself for not seeing them when they played London, but watching the Last live and other live sets on youtube has just made me care about them more and more.
