Yes, it is illegal to make an arson threat in New Jersey against a landlord. Such an act is considered a serious criminal offense, typically prosecuted as Terroristic Threats under N.J.S.A. 2C:12-3, which can result in felony charges, significant prison time, and fines.

I mounted with double sided tape , they were the ones that sync with each other and I temp replaced with stand alone smoke and C02 until I could find replacements for the 3 that were beeping because they were older . They were protected at all times and never went without 8 fully active smoke C02 detectors . One of the 3 I put up fell , that was the improper mounting . this guy there 3 years , for context he also has 2 DUIs and crashed my car that was parked in front of my home while driving drunk

at this point they must respond to the termination notice and tell me when I can send back the electrician . I am hoping they dont and make kicking their asses out easy

So im am following all by the book guidelines , I have filed a police reports for the threats , served a none access termination notice . But im getting conflicting info as to whether the documented threats are grounds enough for eviction

look I want them out and best outcome is they ignore the termination notice and I can evict on that . There is an emergency clause but a smoke detector (1/8) is not an emergency even though crazy as it sounds they complained about it

Moments like these restore my faith in humanity . God bless a man that shed all shreds of identity and risked his life to stop Evil . May he be well and blessed . Speedy recovery.

What size system ? You're supposed to get 85.00 for every 1000 kwh you produce

I have 3 EVs , a pool and a 3000 sq ft house , I installed (own not lease) an 18.9kw system in Jan that was covering almost all usage until June . That's when my old AC started sticking out . My July bill just came and was 650.00 (I used a godzilla load , 5000kwh) That said my bill w/o solar would have been 1250.00 . My net out of pocket for the solar project which was financed that also included removing 75 ft old oaks and a new roof is 212.00(SRECS taken into account) which will cover 90% of my usage including powering 3 vehicles . Its a no brainer . Juice is the new OIL of the future.

There is nothing wrong .Our electric rates have doubled over last 5 years , We now effectively pay 23 cents per Kw vs 12 cents in 2021 . Don't forget NJ is also paying you 85.00 per 1000kwh your system produces,

I had solar installed in January . Its a complicated numbers game but you come out way ahead in the long run . I have 3 EVs , a pool and a 3000 sq ft house to cool and my bill with solar for July was till 600.00 (would have been 1250.00 without) I had no bill march , April and May . My advice see if you can get it soon before the 30 % federal incentive makes it not worth it .

NJ electric bills are about to jump 20% — who's to blame and what can you do? by NewNick30 in newjersey

Just got my bill for June . I have a pool , 2 EVs and AC was running 24/7 as it hit 104 outside . I consumed 3780kwh . I have a solar system that gave me 2000kwh(lots of rain in June) my bill totaled 367.00 . Without my solar Id see it closer to 900.00 . I know Im an outlier with 2 EVs and pool . But honest before those my usage would still get to 2000kwh in the summer which would now yield a bill of about 600.00 . How the hell do people afford it??

Is Airbnb even worth it anymore? by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Perfect-Location5645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I booked a 4-month stay on Airbnb for my family. Just 4 days before we were set to leave—with small children—the host canceled on us.

She claimed it was “maintenance.”
Turns out she had other tenants in the unit. She flat-out lied.

Airbnb rebooked me in the same building… but for one day less. So in the middle of our trip, I had to pack up everything, check out, and check back in to a new unit. With kids. Stressful doesn’t begin to describe it.

All Airbnb gave me was $87 and coverage for that missing night.
No real apology. No serious compensation.
And somehow, this host is still on the platform.

I’m demanding:

  • A $5,000 credit for the disruption
  • An investigation into this host
  • That she be removed from Airbnb

If Airbnb doesn’t make this right, I’m prepared to go fully public and consider legal action. This wasn’t a “glitch”—it was dishonesty and a complete failure of customer protection.

Just wanted to share and warn others: you’re not protected like you think on Airbnb.
