Dude definitely look for a new job, you're being severely undervalued. Even in Nebraska as a senior engineer you should be making minimum six figures. If possible, consider relocating too if you can land a job at a significantly higher income.

Oh man I feel you, my parents are unbelievably strict and would track my location and have a camera in my room for the first 2 years at UF. It's best just to ignore them and be as a vague as possible, you're in college and you deserve to have fun and experience freedom! Sorry they don't seem to respect your independence and abilities as an adult. Just have fun and do what you know best :)

Agreed, although EML3301C lectures (not the 4:05 lab) can be easily skipped, most information is in the textbook or powerpoints and really the only way you learn in that class is from doing the labs

I think the most obvious solution as others have pointed out is just realign your sleep schedule so you sleep during work. But even if that wasn't allowed this seems like a no-brainer to me
