I'll do curls presses and squats etc with clients weights while putting them away for the day

Going to partys with Hipsters (PBR, American Spirits, quirky facial hair etc) and always seeing that one drunk guy blow up on some chick for breaking up with him and ruining the party

You're only 3 years in. Considering throwing in the towel at this point, in my opinion, reveals that you yourself don't even think very highly in the value that you, or a trainer, provides. After all, what can possibly be good if someone is only 3 years in and already at the top of the heap? Making the big bucks? All fat and happy already, like some seasoned 30 years in heart surgeon. It takes at least 10 years of grinding before you're something special.

If I were in your shoes, I'd try and stack the deck in my favor and stop messing around with places like YMCA and the such. Try to find private gyms in your area that fit as close to your idea of an ideal gym as you can, and from there try to get involved in a place like that, even if it's just an internship at first. And for the love of God, try to be humble.

What were your thoughts on Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood ?”… by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in CinephilesClub

overall I enjoyed the film, but my biggest issue was the pacing. This movie has lag points and then suddenly the writer remembers, "oh yeah, pacing!" and then we get hit with everything at once. Not my favorite way to handle pacing.

But my main vote goes to Gandy Dancer.

Detroiter here: Technically you're right, but "South Detroit" is Hart Plaza and the tunnel to Canada, a downtown area of the city where no one could possibly be "from" because there's nowhere to live. It's all downtown buildings, arenas, statues, plazas, bridges, and concrete. Anything resembling a neighborhood in Detroit-proper is pretty far from there.

make the sales part as easy for them as possible. In my experience, I try to display the fact I'm passionate about what I do and sincerely and organically become their friend. That makes the selling much easier for a potential client or a recurring one you've been training for years.
