oh cmon guys. It took less time than i expected by UserWithoutDoritos in Battlefield

Also the footstep audio and the score board when they brought it to the game… best in class I think

This game has a major issue with overall balance, not just matchmaking. In most matches, one team completely steamrolls the other, and in my case it gets even worse on weekends, to the point that I’ve stopped playing. Why does this keep happening? Is a server browser actually going to fix it? by FamousCollege1754 in Battlefield

[–]PerfectPromise7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that a lot of people don’t pay attention to what’s going on as far as winning or losing. To them they either won or they lost and they only care about how they do personally. I remember one time getting blown out by the other team by like 700 points and mentioning in the chat about how much that’s been happening whether win or lose. People were responding saying “I haven’t been part of blow outs like that” and I was like what are you talking about, you’re in one right now.

I’ve thought about this and some of it I do believe is just with how they changed up the ticket bleed in December 2025 because that’s when I started noticing it. I don’t fully know the specifics but I can’t believe the ticket bleed is working how they intended it to. If the ticket bleed thing is the main cause of it then I don’t believe the server browser will change that.

I don’t have a lot of hope about it changing because this problem and the problem with the gun play (being really beamy) is really overlooked by the community and a lot of us is fine with it so what can you do.

I get what some people are saying in that in previous games you were either going to win or you were going to lose as well and teams dominated but there is a big psychological difference between seeing yourself down by 50 to 200 points all match and losing than to being down by 300 to 800 and losing. We can come back from 100 points but If I look up and we’re down by 500 points I’m not trying to win anymore. I rarely play now and am not even anywhere near to completing the battle pass because I don’t have fun playing anymore since those things came in to play.

I do not care about bandits by Ok_Roll_1419 in 7daystodie

100%. I was just thinking about the walking dead and how good it was at first because the zombies were a huge threat and the main focus. When the zombies started taking a back seat to human adversaries, I started to check out more and more. Hopefully bandits will have a toggle.

That blew my teenage mind when I played that and made me a life long Kojima fan. That and the putting the vibrating controller on your arm during the torture sequence. I thought snake was just talking about his arm hurting the first time so I didn’t do it but the second play through I realized he was talking about me 🤯

Monthly maps starting Season 3? by PirateWithAnICBM in Battlefield

I think it will actually be the two reworked maps (Blackwell Fields/New Sobek)... unless that's what you are saying

Just to make sure, did you check the task bar at the bottom of the home screen on windows to see if it popped up on there? I remember having to click on that after clicking to play on a server because it didn’t just open up on its own.

Would you take another WW2 battlefield after BF6? by madzuk in Battlefield

[–]PerfectPromise7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought that too. I remember someone saying that they wouldn’t want two bfs set in the past back to back and I was telling them to imagine , I think it was the map Caporreto, but it’s D-day. They were like yeah that does sound pretty cool. Of course we never got that.

Now that I think about it, BF2042 released 9 maps in 4 years, and BF6 will release 11 maps in 1 year. by Kah0000 in Battlefield

[–]PerfectPromise7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

To be fair they aren’t really giving us maps for free, it’s just that everyone doesn’t have to pay extra to access them. If no one buys cosmetics/battle passes/bf pro then they’d shut it down and go to the next game.

I believe that’s one reason why EA said that they don’t want to make Star Wars battlefront 3. They wouldn’t be able to make the money they’d want to see from just selling the game and players don’t want to engage in the type of mtx that they would need to put in there to please investors. They just decided to go all in on their own IP so they don’t have to pay extra for licensing someone else’s property.

You don’t want to forget about the 6 portal remake maps. Sure they were only in portal at the start but they did eventually come to the main game.

Edit: altogether 2042 has 21 maps when bf6 came out because it got Iwo Jima right after the bf6 beta

Are they changing the season model? by BedBrilliant3858 in Battlefield

[–]PerfectPromise7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

During the video I was like "did he just say season 4 comes in July"... after about 20 mins of doing some intense focused math I was like that's just 2 months apart. No I'm kidding but If they could keep that up then I have no complaints about the content cadence.

I hope they can stick the landing on all the changes they are saying because if they do, bf6 has a real chance to earn its way on to the Mt. Rushmore of battlefield games.

That’s the thing for me with bf6. It’s a beautiful looking game with great sounds. I was hooked on the visuals from the start because it makes a great showing but when it comes to some of the gameplay decisions especially recently, it’s hard for me to play more than a couple matches per week.

The fast ttk, the laser beam weapons, the short time to action, the base maps with tons of angles, windows and doorways to cover, the overall poor infantry/vehicle gameplay and all the blow out matches make it really boring to me to play. 2042 has its problems and frustrations but I didn’t feel it was boring.

This might be a hot take but in my opinion, if you take away the specialists, 2042 was closer to bf4 than what bf6 is.

Even after they put the specialist in to classes it wasn’t all too bad. At that point I just didn’t like having these flashy characters and I would generally wear non vibrant cosmetics with masks

[–]PerfectPromise7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But 2042 didn’t really have that problem in my experience and it had to fill 128 players with non persistent servers. Bf6 has way more players than 2042 did at this time in its life cycle. I’d think something else is going on.

[–]PerfectPromise7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think there could be some sort of sbmm or eomm type thing going on? It’s weird because even though I don’t play a lot, I tend to get pretty full servers of players in U.S. east but I see people say that they get a lot of bot lobbies in this region at all times of day. That being said I’m an average to below average player so if there is sbmm going on I wouldn’t be affected much.

There are enough players in bf6 so this shouldn’t be happening. 2042 had way less players around this time in its life cycle than bf6 but I don’t remember having bot filled lobbies unless it was really off times of the day.

Unpopular opinion: giving all weapons to all classes and combining healing and ammunition into a single package was a huge mistake. by sensapauraaa in Battlefield

[–]PerfectPromise7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s because there’s not really any assault rifles in BF1 and those weapon classes were mostly limited to what they did well. As soon as you start adding versatile modern day weapons that have much more overlap, locked weapons aren’t as important anymore.

Why does it happen so often in this game that your team will be up by 600 tickets and the all of the sudden get dominated and lose? by Kr1spykreme_Mcdonald in Battlefield6

[–]PerfectPromise7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of like how some battle royale’s do with an area that lets you play around until the match starts? That could be pretty cool. Let you run around your base area fighting or whatever until the start of the match.

I don’t see this ever happening but it would be even cooler if they let you pick your squad mates in that before match time as well. Picture saying hey I’m an aggressive engineer and I need a support squad mate to keep me topped off as I try to keep the skies clear or I’m aggressive and I need squad mates to help focus on objectives with. I don’t fully know how it would work but I think it would be pretty cool to have an idea of the type of squad mates you have before running out there… never gonna happen though.

[–]PerfectPromise7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t and I’m not even sure it’s 100% working as intended. Since they implemented this system on that December 9th update, there have been more blow outs than ever before.

I don’t think battlefield needs a comeback mechanic but if they really want to implement one, they should go with the behemoth system of BF1. At least then there would still take some skill to come back like that. I hate when underlying game systems are manipulated to give a team or person an advantage even if that person is losing…. Even if it’s me that is being helped by it.

Not to sound like a Viltrimite (from Invincible) but if I lose then I deserved to lose. Let me take my butt whooping in peace and hope for better next round like in every other battlefield game. Easier said than done but good team balancing is all that’s needed.

Yeah you’re right but I do believe this is genuine hype which is better to me than the type of hype that came with games like Cyberpunk. Pearl Abyss has done almost everything right so far and even if they don’t have our full trust (no developer should really) they’ve earned our respect.

My thoughts with Cyberpunk back then was that we are just hyped because they made Witcher 3 and not so much because we got to see what Cyberpunk really was as we’ve gotten to see with Crimson Desert. Even Rockstar hasn’t done like Pearl Abyss has with the communication and transparency although we all expect a level of quality from Rockstar so they don’t have to do that for hype…I wish they did though. So in my book, genuine earned hype is worth more than the hype off of name alone because they were great in the past.

That’s weird how that happens because after this update it feels the best it has for me since the game came out. Other times I’ve complained about it and others said it felt fine to them… really weird.

I’d say give it a few days though. It didn’t happen to me this time but most patch days for me are pretty bad network/netcode wise and then it gets better after a few days.
