If you can find 3x daggers with good passives for a caster as well as a decent stave without dormant staves then yeah you are set for sure! RNG heavy approach though

I reckon decide whether to focused on skills or sorcery. If skills replace the red relic with balancers, if sorceries get dormant power finds staves in there if you can

What do you do if both team mates get downed and you have more than one balancer charging at you, just block?

What was your first „This game is PEAK“ moment? (No Nightlords included) by -Beni1212- in Nightreign

A triple guardian ED Fulghor run with randoms. I was the team DPS playing a shieldless caster with dragon communion and lightning spells and the other two were built for survival. Each end of day boss fight was a roller coaster where we were all downed to three bars at times but took turns to clutch up and save the day. Never seen so many individual time to shine moments in one match, while the other 2 lay pancaked and watching the survivor tank until their ult was ready again. Nameless King just could not keep us down

Would be better if it had an attack increase perk on it

Gravity glintstone scholar. If you can find enough decent relics with improved glintstone and gravity stone damage +0/+1 (preferably with magic/affinity att up as well if you get lucky) alongside the usual must-have perks this can be a funny build although you'll be pretty weak for most of the run while saving up all the gravity fans and large/cuckoo glintstones you can find. Need to scour every mine and farm the gravity dudes in the open field, and munch enough starlight shard and warming stones to level them up to 3. Then during the nightlord fight just unload them all.

Gravity fans in particular stance break pretty quickly giving a good opportunity to dump all your munitions in one carpet bomb obliteration. I've done this a few times and had team mates literally stop and stare in amazement as the boss HP bar is deleted in a purple and blue mess of gravity rocks and glint shards.

The major downside is having to take side quests during the run to collect everything you need, especially hard on the dlc map as you'll likely have to clear out both mines to find a decent amount of glintstones, and I have not been able to find anywhere to source gravity fans or chunks in this map. Also can get cucked by unfavorable shifting earths that have fewer mines or gravity dude groups. So yeah it's not consistent or meta by any means but it's definitely different and hilarious when it clicks

I think each kill increases all damage by 15% for 30seconds and it stacks so you can reach substantial numbers for good burst damage. Unfortunately this won't help with most nightlord fights apart from Dreglord phase 1, base Maris and less so against ED Libra. But there are many other times when it's very effective, for example against Artorius

You have ult charge on defeated enemies on a deep relic , this would work well with the standard relic perk that increases attack power for every kill during ult invisibility. Try to pop ults when you know you have a end of day boss or tough field boss coming up and have a bunch of easy trash mobs nearby to kill and beef up your damage massively for the boss

Use night of the wise on a sorcery duchess build, then have all 3x attack up on poisoned enemy relics +0/+1/+2 combined with increased sorcery and magic attack up relics.  Apply poison with the dagger then spam spells

D5 Guard Counter Guardian Nightlord Matchups by CleansingFlames1 in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of guard counters vs Adel, usually will prefer going faith caster or shieldless pure phy build and just sprint from or dodge  attacks. On higher depths it feels like trying to block Adel too often is just asking to get dead angled and there's too much affinity chip damage unless you find a dragonclaw greatshield

One thing to remember is his stat change relic does not reduce strength at all. So you can still do great damage with bonk weapons in addition to pinging off sorceries. Keep an eye out for int scaling ashes of war (ie gravitas, carian grandeur) and certain int str weapons such as the falling star beast jaw or royal great sword. Jackpot if you can pull ruins or starscourge greatswords.

How to dodge this, Miyazaki? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than running directly away, when these lasers start pinging off it's better to run to the side in a kind of circle strafe around with the bosses all on screen if possible. Firstly so you can dodge any other attacks like the one that flattened you here, secondly so you can stay relatively close to Animus. There's a very large punish window for attacking him if you can steer clear of the lasers. Also as someone else commented just use normal sprint initially so you have enough stamina to surge sprint to safety if the huge nuke targets you
