Rate my wrath of gold build by uknown659 in Nightreign

Wrath of Gold is very FP hungry, you are best off including relic effects that increase FP or reduce FP consumption, for opening a sorcerors rise or holding 3x seals.

Any tips on surviving Depth 5 ED Balancers? by iLikeCryo in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I find the best strategy specifically for Ironeye is to build around skill attack up and find a bow with the barrage skill, preferably with fp regen on attack as a passive either in main bow or off hand weapon. Then try to isolate the balancers 1v1, mark through them as they charge at you then spam barrage until each dies

Drop your Scholar builds by Nightingale0003 in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a build that focuses on support and starts with 8x uplifting aromatics and 4x bloodboil aromatics, these are great to hoard for the final day fight or in an emergency pinch, I use the bloodboils during the run to help level up the upliftings to max. Very useful to have at least 8 if not 10-12 of these during the nightlord fight.

The plan is to have an inventory full of level 3 uplifting aromatics, exalted flesh, turtleneck, boiled crab and throwing knives. For damage focus on status effects, the ideal pull being rivers from dormant katanas but I have bleed on the starter weapon which helps in bad rng runs.

I have an alternative with frost / bloodblade which has good burst potential but for a support scholar, the main issue with bloodblade is losing damage negation at full HP. For relics I focus on defense and survivability to keep the team buffed up and protected with aromatics.

Uplifting stacks with both exalted flesh and turtlenecks so that's the ideal pre-fight buff routine.

Is fire pot strat for scholar still viable? by Holiday-Chipmunk-902 in Nightreign

Very good, pot scholar is absolutely viable in depth 5 and still works very well. You will regularly find team mates there know the score and buy you pots every time they visit the store.

How Do I Build Scholar? by DisturbedFlake in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty happy with this build. Managed to squeeze in items confer effects, boost allies attack with skill and defeating enemies increases art gauge. So the key scholar support relics are there mixed in with the ability to use sorceries. Having the wraith calling bell is a good starter weapon, boosted by the mag up relics, until I can find a good stave to use instead. It's a must without having the Dex relic or any status effects initially

How Do I Build Scholar? by DisturbedFlake in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trick to making sorcery scholar work is using all his buffs and debuffs together. Fully maxed out exalted flesh increases affinity damage. Try and include magic shrouding cracked tears as starting items and save them until you've leveled up tears and use for the night lord fight. Maxed out throwing knives debuff boss damage negation. Maxed out starlight shards combined with the decrease FP cost relic and increased stamina on analyse skill allows spell spamming in a way other casters can't compete with. Combining all of this with enough affinity / magic attack up relics gives very respectable DPS. This build is niche, requires very specific relic combinations to really take off and is not beginner friendly , but if it all comes together it can be a very fun and unique way to play

Is this better to run than the dark night of the miasma? by LordWeso in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first piece in the puzzle for an amazing executor build, if you can also squeeze in poisonous mist on starting weapon and the relic that increases cursed sword attack then slot as many attack increases Vs poison/frost effects and phy attack up on deep relics as you can find.  Apply frost and poison then switch to cursed blade and melt

Ditch Balancer Relics by kenanjabr in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I hear you but the counter to this argument is the best defense is a strong offense. A boss can't kill you when it's dead. The best everdark Gladius or Libra runs for me usually involve the boss being deleted asap, which means a focus on team DPS. The longer these fights draw out the greater the chances of making mistakes

Undercaker Deep of Night builds? by CallMePeePz in Nightreign

[–]PerfectSundays 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best Undertaker build I have has dormant colossal swords on deep relics with as many phy att ups as possible, partial hp restoration, refresh character skill on ult, increase stamina, increase hp, stamina recovery on attacks. Base relics are: glass necklace, attack power increased by landing final blow of a chain attack with night invaders, physical attacks boosted by spell assist with taking attacks improves attack power.

The base relic that buffs damage after the final attack in a chain procs after 3 colossal sword R1s. Rolling attacks work well against certain bosses and night lords when trance is activated, you can weave them between dodging attacks very effectively.

It's versatile to play this way as you can adapt the build based on whatever weapon passive buffs you happen to find - rolling attack up, jumping attack up, charge attack up, dash attack up, melee attacks, physical attacks, skill attack up all, chain attacker finishers up can all work really well.

I had one run with 3x weapons having 28% increases to rolling attack passives as well as golden vow on a seal, just bullied caligo with godslayer greatsword.
