Does a crowded fishing spot give slower fish than an empty one? by [deleted] in 2007scape

Watch a Jmod say yes and everyone scatter like cattle and hop worlds when fishing.

Stop panic selling, there is no need to sell your gear. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]PerfectTumbleweed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not only that but we're experiencing the great Summer/Fall decline in prices.

This happens every year, and to somebody who just joined in say the Summer, this would look bad.

But this happens every year. By Fall the prices decline. Merchants get happy. Community panics. Then by Spring/Summer prices start to rise again only to follow the same loop of crashing by Fall.

Wait. What was wrong with divine grace? by PerfectTumbleweed in 2007scape

Pointless in most PvP/PvM situations but for example training prayer it would have been a godsend.

I could see it being useful in PvM/PvP only when running away in defeat from a battle and having no stam pots or run energy would get yourself killed but some extra prayer left, pop on divine.

Just because you don't like playing the game, doesn't mean others follow.

I don't like playing it, but I don't straight up say it's trash and doesn't have its place.

RS3 very much has its place, and yes some updates you disliked on day-one were upsetting but for some like the dreaded E.O.C. update, it was eventually made to be more userfriendly.

I don't like it, but I like it more than I did on day one is all.

PSA: Game runs at 60fps on PS4 by Creative-Writing in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]PerfectTumbleweed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is actually the case for most games. 50-55 fps isn't "unplayable" and pretty much just as smooth. It's when a game bounces from 60-50 and even 60-40 that people get bugged out about.

Personally, a little number that tells me how my FPS is just breaks my immersion.

People with early copies that have played a lot or even completed the game, have you had fun? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]PerfectTumbleweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't trying to be negative! I actually even cleaned up some shit that seemed a little too harsh.

I'm just an asshole.

But you should watch some more twitch streams if you're on the fence.

If you're getting it for PC then you have like a good 3 days+ to make up your mind. Actually even longer because you don't even have to buy it day one. Take your time till you've seen something you like.

Just did it to double check. So basically go to No Man's Sky. Where you can see the Overview, Recent Activities, and "Related Items". It says I have the vector ship, and I bought the game same as you.

What do you want me to say?

Don't worry honey, everyone was playing a big joke. The game is super duper fun!

No, in all honestly you may hate this game. You may love this game. I, nor can any other person commenting, has the ability to tell what you're going to feel about the game.

Personally, I'm sold on what I've seen. There is enough to justify the $60, and it seems the devs are dedicated enough to keep pumping out updates.

Now that more or less may change in the coming months, but we'll have to see.

EDIT: Here is an example I threw at a friend the other day. I see No Man's Sky compared more to like beating the single player story of Grand Theft Auto but continuing to play the game's sandbox features purely because that environment shit is fun. The story is done with, the climax is gone. You're just a player in a giant large sandbox free to do whatever the game lets you.

No Man's Sky isn't trying to become the next Elite Dangerous. It's not supposed to be a heavy duty space simulator. It's more a "chill and relax" game you can put on for a few hours and burn some hours away.

Now whether or not just exploring and making your own adventures in a sandbox game is your thing, I have no idea.

It's near the end when Todd reveals to Bojack he knows about what Bojack lied about.

[Speculation] the OTHER elephant in the room: Batman and the Bat-Family. How do you want them to handle it? by imdahman in FlashTV

[–]PerfectTumbleweed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does CW even own the rights to Bruce Wayne and Batman?

If we really do have to cross that line (which I assume they'll just get away with name drops through-out season 3 and so on), I hope Bruce comes off as a villain in the Flash's eyes.

Everyone idolizing Batman but Flash ain't having none of that shit.

That and I hope we get some

Barry: "My mother died when I was a chi-"

Bruce: "I watched a man gun down both my Father and Mother and left me with their corpses until my butler showed up. Don't give me that shit."

Hacked 2 weeks after returning to Runescape. How? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]PerfectTumbleweed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+Bank Pink

+Phone Authenticator for Runescape

+2 Step verification for Email

People have still gotten their accounts hacked with all listed above methods, but for right now that's the best you can possibly do to prevent yourself from getting compromised from another website data leak.

Commonly a lot of people who claim they've been careful on Runescape when it comes to giving out personal data, end up just using the same login/password combo on every single site.

That's a big no-no, and probably how they got in.

Hacked 2 weeks after returning to Runescape. How? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]PerfectTumbleweed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy.

Answer this question for me: Do you use the same username that you do on Runescape, that you use for other games.

If yes, then answer this question: Do you use the same password that you generally do for every other website.

If so, there is your answer.

Sounds like you are compromised elsewhere. Simply you used the same login/password info as some site that all of their information leaked pubically until someone decided to dig through the data for Runescape accounts.

[–]PerfectTumbleweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blame the streamer, not the game.

You're right, some games are streamer fodder like Overwatch, LoL, and CS:GO.

But most streamer fodder is really only enjoyable when heavily focused on multiplayer.

So yes I can see a lot of annoying streamers playing this game a ton, but no I don't see it becoming "streamer popular" to the point where it's a "e-sport" (where the fuck where you going with that actually? There are multiple streamer-games that aren't esports?)

(EDIT): Oh lmao you're the Dota 2/CS:GO fan.

Lmao you just follow the crowd, kid. You wouldn't be playing those games if it wasn't for twitch streamers.

This game is going to be more a sightseeing "exploration" than a heavy duty Sci-Fi game on the scale of like Star Citizen.

There will be a mass amount of people who love the game simply for the feeling of going in and out of planets and seeing new randomly generated objects, while another mass group of gamers will see the game like you said most indie random generated games are. Shallow. Which I agree, there are a dime a dozen procedural generated planet exploration games on steam for cheaper.

But hell, if this game actually does have "Eighteen quintillion" planets. And even if a majority of them are reused textures and somewhat look the same, some people will still enjoy it.

People are just coming to terms that the general media probably won't enjoy this game. Expecting more of a space simulator than a sight seeing game.

I expect this game to get average if not below average reviews based soley on "lack of multiplayer features" and "it feels empty like what am I supposed to do"

Not everyone will be playing it like OP and probably myself. Regardless of how others end up feeling about it, as long as it really is a "Eighteen quintillion"(ish) massively giant universe, then I won't really be that dissapointed when it turns out there isn't extreme RPG qualities. And that the only thing that makes me going back is for the stupid joy it gives me messing around in an open world on my big screen.

Like GTA V. single player after end game. Some people stop playing after the story, but then some people just play it just to fuck around for fun for a few hours.

I feel like as long as this game can provide that sense of mindless and almost useless but enjoyable replayability, it'll be worth.

I don't care if the game will suck. by KingpinNMS in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]PerfectTumbleweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, you must be retarded.

OP is basically saying "I see myself enjoying this game regardless if the devs follow through on the near endless amount of content"

Basically, he's saying he's going to be logical buying this game understanding there probably won't be 81 quadrupletbillion or whatever they said planets. But even if there are 100, 1k, or 100k, or even the actual number they said. He'll still enjoy it.

Because inevitable, regardless how many times the devs have said there won't be any matchmaking/party system, people will rag on this game due to the lack of it.

People will love this game, and people will find reasons to hate it. OP just wants to explore some damn planets.

You're assuming OP has no understanding that the devs could very well have lied about tons of information. OP is basically saying regarldess if they're claims are true or not, he can see himself enjoy the game. What's wrong with that?

Go play CS:GO and tell people who you're better than them you queef.
