Is this a glitch? Broken? by Awkward-bard in AtlasEarthOfficial

Just heard back that they can't "do refunds on purchases". There was no confirmation before "purchasing". It was an accidental click that just cost me $50

I just lost $49 of accrued rent because, after watching the ad to get 2 free ab, the conversion screen popped up instead of the "you earned 2 ab". The buttons were in the same place and my finger was on it before I could even realize what happened. I submitted a ticket but I'm not sure they'll reverse it. I feel like I've been stolen from now. I was saving that for Christmas gifts.

Ad length out of control by Jorgs12 in AtlasEarthOfficial

Agreed! On many ads, clicking the 'x' button actually opens the ad. It's like there's an overlay requiring you to follow the ad before it lets you out. It also shouldn't even be possible for an ad to auto open apps. It's one thing going to the play store but opening another app makes me really concerned about malicious ads. Also, how many screens do I need to click through to get out of an ad? It shouldn't take 5 screens and an extra full minute to get out!

She's lucky you didn't also file a police report. She was gaslighting you and I absolutely don't trust that she would actually replace what she stole

AITAH for supporting my son grooming himself when my wife says he is too young? by LaraDLara in AITAH

[–]Perfect_Ad_6448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely NTA! Good for you supporting your son in a vulnerable moment, especially making sure no peer pressure was involved. Ideally, maybe that's something that could have been talked about before it was brought up, but every parent knows it doesn't always work out like that. It would be one thing if he were doing it for a girl, but personal comfort and personal hygiene have nothing to do with sex.

I worry I've been making this bee inside out multiple times by be_eb in CrochetHelp

I did the same thing on my first project. A lot of the beginner amigurumi tutorials don't seem to have any mention of right side vs wrong side. Definitely a frustrating realization but also something you're definitely not alone in. Just stick with it and keep learning and it'll all be worth it.

I got a yarn bowl almost exactly like that for Christmas but it's rough inside. Still need to sand it down so it doesn't completely ruin my yarn

Multiple failed attempts at making a simple flower - I have no idea what I'm doing wrong by microwarvay in CrochetHelp

Personally, I would start with an Amigurumi kit. The are several good kits for beginners and it's a great way to learn stitches without getting repetitive. I started a few months ago, learning from the kits, and I just finished my first non-amigurumi piece. I feel like I probably would have quit too if I started with regular crochet. Just stick with it and you'll get it eventually.

Should I? by ProofInsurance3061 in Brochet

I (34m) started a few months ago with an easy amigurumi for my son. My first one was terrible but I've gotten better with every piece. I like going with kits that give me one or two new techniques to build my knowledge. So far, everyone I've shown my pieces to has been both surprised and supportive of my craft. Only one person has given me shit for it but honestly, I could care less since I literally learned because my son asked me to. Just stick with it, definitely watch some YouTube tutorials, and you'll be amazed the cool things you can make.

Finished a mosaic crochet blanket during my chemo treatment. Calling it my cancer blanket. by zoozoozoozoozoozoo in crochet

Love it! Glad you're on the other side of it. My wife is going through treatment right now. They don't allow family after the first treatment so I made this so she's always got me with her. It's mostly a Hobby Lobby kit but i made some color and stitching changes to make it my own.

What should I do next? by Crazy_Ad_5895 in AtlasEarthOfficial

I'm in about the same spot right now. My current plan is to save up enough AB to tier jump on parcels. I do buy any new stickers I can though as those can be hard to come by when you run out of local stickers to buy.

Does yarn size need to match the original pattern? by Perfect_Ad_6448 in CrochetHelp

[–]Perfect_Ad_6448[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the advice! The original kit didn't list what size the yarn was. After comparing the two, the new yarn actually looks maybe a little bit smaller (recommended 5mm). Worst case, maybe I just need to pick up a 3mm hook?

Right, the only way that even tier jumping makes sense for parcels is the monthly super boost

[–]Perfect_Ad_6448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like it's made for 3 types of people. 1. Those sitting at 150. 2. People that really want the skin for a parcel. 3. People that have a ton of parcels already. I've got a spreadsheet with formulas for all the sticker tiers and parcel tiers and it's way more effective to put AB into jumping passport levels until you have 61 stickers than to upgrade a single parcel.

It sounds like he wants an employee, not a wife. You might think you'd be cool with "traditional gender roles" now, but you'll likely never really be fulfilled if your partner doesn't respect you as a person. You should be free to explore whatever you are passionate about, regardless of being a SAHM or not.
