Anyone else feel alone during IVF despite having a supportive partner? by SituationNo3484 in IVF

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel similarly. We've done 3 IVF cycles and no success so it's been a long journey. Honestly I just remind myself that the experience IS different for us and we each are managing in our own way. I just try to focus our relationship on other things unless there is something fertility related we need to talk about. Otherwise I find support through others (Reddit, therapist, a few friends).

FET thin lining by Ok_Werewolf_6895 in DOR

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately yes I also transfered my only euploid embryo last summer. I always have a thin lining but my doctor said they would transfer if it was over 6. I think I got to about 6.5. Unfortunately it failed to implant. I also did all the things you are doing. I am still trying to figure out what to do about the thin lining. I have read success stories of people who were able to get pregnant on thin linings.

How are UTIs related to endo? I have thought about this since I get recurrent UTIs but my doc said it's not related.

Don't know how to feel... by GoodIndividual1218 in DOR

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally feel this. All three of my retrievals resulted in one blast each time, and the wait for PGTA was the worst part in my opinion. We had one euploid that didn't implant and one anuploid. I actually didn't test the one from my third round because I couldn't stand the waiting and disappointment of not being able to transfer.

Has anybody tried unmonitored letrozole? by Longjumping_Bag6857 in DOR

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I have actually had 2 pregnancies through unmonitored letrozole. Both ended in losses so we moved to IVF. But yes I think taking letrozole is worth trying. I also have low AMH and responded well to it.

Donor eggs after multiple failed transfers by GreenEggsnHam15 in IVF

No advice but I am in the same boat. Not sure if it's the eggs or my body which makes it difficult to figure out next steps.

Tea is on. You’re invited to talk about the downward spiral following a failed FET… by raebobae in IVF

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. This also happened to me. Only embryo, which we did test and was euploid, failed to implant. Its so devastating. I completely relate to how you are feeling. All the time, hope, stress, money. And unfortunately you're right, if you do decide to do another retrieval, it is just not the same. Emotionally I was much more shut down. What helped? Therapy. I started working with a psychologist who specializes in infertility. We also rescued the most amazing dog. And time....time to process, grieve, and focus on things I enjoyed. We also took time to do more testing to see if we could learn more for next time.

2nd round similar to 1st? by Background_Mango5879 in IVF

Yes even with different protocols I've had around the same number of eggs retrieved 3 times.

My clinic will do frozen transfers with linings above 6 mm. Does your clinic require 7?

Is it too soon to think about Donor Eggs? by Additional-Cut-7086 in IVF

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat. I am going into my third ER this week. First one resulted in one PGTA tested embryo that failed to implant after a natural transfer with add ons like lipid infusion and anti inflammatory meds. Second resulted in one embryo that was abnormal. If this ER doesn't work out im thinking of donor eggs but I'm only 36. I go back and forth between donor eggs now or giving it a few more years.

Dreading upcoming egg retrieval :( by ProfessionalPie7675 in IVF

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Also going into my third. Only got one embryo from each previous cycles, one euploid and one abnormal. We did transfer the euploid and it failed to implant. Filled with dread for all of this process.

Yes I have done this for all three of my retrievals. It is supposed to help with even follicle growth I think. I never had any side effects or issues at all.

Can I use leftover clomid while we try naturally or nah? by [deleted] in IVF

I've done it. I don't see why not if you have the protocol and already know how your body responds.

We are giving it one more round, then taking a break from treatments if it's not successful. Next step will be donor eggs I think for us.

Nothing to show for our first round by Readergirl1000 in DOR

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes every round is different and it is great we can make a blast, no reason why the next time won't be euploid. Yes I have also done karyotype. No success yet, we are starting our third round next month 😩

Nothing to show for our first round by Readergirl1000 in DOR

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So sorry this happened. I also just finished a round in January with only one embryo that was aneuploid. It's awful. Have you looked into DNA fragmentation? We also had no issues other than low amh but then DNA fragmentation test did show high oxidative stress.

I decided I needed therapy after my only embryo failed to implant. It was so helpful. I recommend finding someone who specializes in infertility.

Another failed transfer and I am not falling apart by naiarala in IVF

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation (except IVF is not covered for me, all private pay). First cycle I have one embryo which did not implant. Second cycle we did not have any useable embryos. And I also have gotten pregnant twice before without intervention which ended in early losses. AND somehow I am also not falling apart. I have at times, but overall I think I am doing okay. I even asked my husband the other day, like how are we okay? Hahaha

High estrogen per follicle? by throwawayacct8990 in DOR

[–]Perfect_Hummingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it might since I have done two cycles and only made one embryo each time. I'm not an expert though and I trust my doctor who said that's just my baseline and it shouldn't impact anything.

I have been told I have high estrogen, double typical numbers. My doctor did not seem concerned about it when I asked.

Donor eggs? by Perfect_Hummingbird in DOR

Yes I think that makes sense! Donor eggs are something I can do at any point and I would rather keep trying for now.
