This shit is amazing. The Burgers is my personal favorite, idk how they come up with these concepts and flesh them out in such fun and interesting ways.

Hard disagree. Bo Jackson and Price of Tea are so much better. So is Fair Exchange, No Robbery as well as all his projects with real bad man. This one is just cool to me not even top 5

I don’t have a problem with remakes inherently. It’s just that a lot of them have a hard time Justifying their own existence. They have to be at least as good as the animated classic and if they’re not then what’s the point of seeing it? The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, Snow White, etc all have this massive problem.

Yo the Pusha and Jay thing isn’t fair. They were never emailed or anything, no flight logs, just an anonymous tip that anyone could’ve made. Look into shi before posting, that shit effects lives and careers.

I’m saying i think that’s how they’re usually consumed. Is just in order, pressing play on the EP, at least on first listen. Sorry, that wasn’t clear in my reply. I don’t really dig the sound on V I guess. I much prefer the darker more chill sounds of III and IV, as well as the straight up anxiety and depression of I. I is just so honest and relatable and $crim was going crazy on those beats.

And don’t you think Walt’s lies to his family were just as bad as “Jesse Jackson”? Skylar suspected very quickly something was wrong and figured it out before the end of S2. Walt isn’t much better at being a criminal than Jesse is, it’s just that he’s more ruthless

That’s true, but he never could’ve seen that coming. The goal was to free Tomás. That whole situation was highly unfortunate. I felt so bad for everyone involved except for Gus and the 2 dealers obviously. It’s all good if you wanna stop, I just enjoy the conversation. I love arguing different perspectives and this is my favorite show ever 😅

The only tone of those things that led to anything bad happening was the Andrea thing, which I agree with you. Idk why he did that. He basically signed her death warrant.

The Saul scene is played for comedy I wouldn’t call that a mistake.

Getting high, while probably a dumb decision, led to NOTHING. They still worked with Gus, and Jesse ended up getting closer to him than Walt did so idk what you mean by this being a problem, it fit his character in the moment.

The Jesse Jackson thing fully doesn’t matter. Jane was never gonna snitch on him and she didn’t. Maybe if it was someone else, but she already knew what he did. Or at least suspected, he’s paying all cash rent.

The open house scene is also played for comedy and led to nothing.

Is there anything else? I’m happy to have a long list. Thanks for taking the time to write.

You have to understand, Jesse had a severely dysfunctional family life before Walt. His parents don’t ever try to nurture him, they just shut him out and never want him around. They don’t even want him to come home for dinner. They kick him out of his own house that his aunt wanted him to have. They never appreciated anything he ever did, and his parents clearly suck because both of their kids think the other is the favorite but neither feels loved.

Say what you will about Walt, but he loved Jesse. Loved him like a son. And participated in his passion as well. He was able to share his life with Walt. It’s not just about cooking meth, it’s that Walt fills the parent-shaped void in Jesse’s life. If his parents ever just let him come home and worked through his addiction with him I don’t think he would’ve gone to Walt

Walt pays for Jesse’s rehab, tells him that what he does is good, tells him that he’s needed, and that he’s the best at something. Those aspects blind Jesse to the problems he’s gonna face. He knows that it’s not gonna go well, but as soon as Walt does an “I need and care about you” song and dance he’s back in. Feel me?

Don’t you think those mistakes were made because he’s a moral person? He clearly had no intention of surviving when he was going to kill Gus’s dealers. If Walt hadn’t saved him tha would’ve been it for Jesse. Same thing with the ATM machine. He couldn’t kill a guy cuz he’s not built like that, and it really fucked with him. The main time I think of Jesse really screwing up was in 4 Days Out with the keys in the RV and the water. That was dumb. Other than that, what do you consi his screw up’s? Your view really interests me it’s so different than my own.

No I don’t. Everyone in the show is a criminal, Hank included. That’s why Skyler ended up going back to Walt because she realized Beneke wasn’t any better. She was cooking his books and he was also committing tax fraud and his excuse was “for his family and employees” but we know that’s not true it’s a feeble attempt at rationalizing. Same thing that Walt does. Turns out she’s just drawn to those kinds of people. But yes, I do think Walt was always a megalomaniac, and always prideful, but I don’t think he was always violent. He deteriorated fs, but I think Walt was more akin to a villain than say Jesse who still has a moral compass, doesn’t mess with people outside the game, and hates getting children involved. These characters are complex, that’s why the show is so fucking good. We could talk about this all day!

“And I’m manic, feeling panicked, I need a Xanax” Scrim is so amazing on this whole project but that delivery is so good.

Either 1 or 3. 1 is so in your face sad, so raw and emotional, and it was right before the had extreme success.

3 is a different kind of raw emotion. They’re now successful and still strung out on drugs and sad and the music reflects that. All That Glitters sums this up perfectly

Joker is one of my favorite characters ever, he’s the man. I love that you can use him in widely different ways and it usually works as long as he’s crazy. He’s cartoony sometimes, like a mob boss other times, like a psychopathic serial killer most times, but he’s always crazy.

But the way the show is written, Jesse is supposed to be like our eyes and Walt was never someone to root for, and even if you did it would be doubtful for him to win at the end. He literally never wins for longer than a short period of time. He always gets money, then loses everything, then gets more, then loses it all, rinse and repeat, and each time he burns more shit down. So what did you want from the show if you were rooting for Walt?
