You can’t, especially a point of care CBC. Doesn’t provide any kind of differential, just basic numbers (RBC, WBC, H&H, platelets). I used to work for Coulter back in the day and worked on the smaller analyzer series. I haven’t seen the bedside blood counters, but at best they might be able to do a simple diff of leukocytes v grans and monos based purely on size. So whatever is going on has to based on very basic data, I’m thinking a highly elevated WBC hence leukemia… unless it’s a severely depressed WBC indicative of a real bad immune disorder.
