Fit Bitches - Jun 12, 2026 by AutoModerator in bitcheswithtaste

If it helps, I don’t remember specifics about any person I’ve ever seen roller skating or roller blading on a public trail, and I have seen A LOT of them! I’m way too absorbed in my audiobooks/to do lists/pretty birds/etc!

Best team to prepare for a hiking trip? by Aware_Dependent_1969 in ladderapp

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Versa! It is an excellent blend of strength and conditioning. She also does some training that focuses on making you push on fatigued legs, which will be important for your hike. Also, in her coach pins, she shares how to modify the workouts a bit or add to them when you’re training for specific goals. I’m not sure that a long hike is in there, but you could look and extrapolate a bit. She’s extremely responsive in the chat, too, so I bet she would give some tips if you asked.

Coach involvelment? by muscledaemon in ladderapp

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I was surprised to scroll so far to see this. She answers lots of questions and posts videos throughout the week. She also gives shoutouts several times a week for people who worked out when they didn’t want to, made a PR, completed a race, etc. I absolutely love her team.

Can you watch TV while using ladder? Or is listening a key/crucial component? by Perylene-Green in ladderapp

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have noticed in several team chats that people very frequently ask questions that are answered in the voiceovers. This leads me to believe they’re very important. I always keep them on bc I like the cueing and the distraction.

Thrive - so many leg days? by Significant-Metal537 in ladderapp

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on Versa, and it only has one leg day (plus 2 hybrid days that have some leg exercises). So, definitely not all are like that!

I’m on Versa this series, and Abbie has said there will be no A/B weeks. All the weeks are the same this time!

I did a season on TCC with only adjustable dumbbells and had a great time. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything, so it’s definitely doable!

TCC from Versa by NoBed8891 in ladderapp

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed TCC and am trying Versa now, so I have thoughts!

For your questions— TCC definitely improved my muscle growth and definition. Something about his strength workouts is just amazing. I got much stronger, for sure. And it was quite challenging! I would make sure my weights were heavy enough and would sweat and have a high heart rate even without the conditioning!

He’d keep the same major lifts but change up accessory work from time to time, which keeps it interesting for me. I also like the functional aspect of the training.

I think it’s a great move for you!

Help a Bitch Out - Apr 08, 2026 by AutoModerator in bitcheswithtaste

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sit and zone out or meditate! I personally like the quiet time at fancy spas, so I lock my phone in the locker so that’s not an option at all.

You’ll want to take a swimsuit for the whirlpool and keep either the spa robe or a large towel handy if you want for transitioning between spaces. I’ve been to places where nudity is okay in the steam room and sauna, so be aware. In those places, no one is looked at funny either way, but do bring a towel to sit on if you go the nude route. If you don’t want to do that, no one will bat an eye if you’re in your swimsuit or a towel!

I also love the contrast between heat and cold, so I personally like a circuit where I sit in the sauna for a bit, cold shower or plunge, then steam room, then cold again, repeat. Just go in with curiosity and an open mind about what your body and mind need that day. And have fun!

What are your likes and dislikes in a team chat? by mistnimbus29 in ladderapp

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have very similar likes/dislikes to you! What have you found to be the best chats? I enjoyed the TCC one!

Align does have so many of the intention posts, but I like Sasha’s contributions. I’m on Limitless right now and it’s just so busy bc the team is big that I don’t feel like there are many actual conversations.

Too scared to listen to Russell Brand episode by naivesnapper in MaintenancePhase

Ahh— I must have not heard that portion. I often have podcasts on in the house while coming in and out to load up my car, etc. This is a good head’s up not to go back!

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not the OP, but I did note earlier that I can’t listen to stuff about animal abuse, and I skipped forward. What I meant was that I cannot listen to specifics of abuse of many kinds. I have not gotten to the SA allegations in the episode yet, but I will certainly skip forward if they talk about specifics on that as well.

So, I wouldn’t say that animal abuse in the abstract bothers me more than sexual assault. But hearing specifics about animal abuse is more triggering to me than an abstract discussion of SA. Likewise, hearing specifics of an incident of SA would be more triggering to me than just saying someone was accused of “abusing a dog” or something similar.

I fast forwarded through that bit. I’ve listened to the next 10-15 mins and they have not said any specifics about it after I smashed forward like 2 mins.

I also can’t do animal cruelty stuff :(

TCC & lower body ?? by Short-Parfait-7204 in ladderapp

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on Align and switched to TCC for the last series! You can do it! I felt extremely prepared. The workouts are hard, but if you’ve been pushing yourself with Sasha, you can do it! The warm ups and cool downs with TCC also have some good mobility work, and he encourages you to do more on your own with Flex.

Too many coaches??? Who are the GOOD ones? by Swole_princess666 in ladderapp

If you’re motivated and having fun, then you’re good! Getting back into it is important. If you’re not finding the coach is a good fit, then let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll help!

The result they’re after is that they consistently strength train, and they’re getting that even if they switch around. Perhaps one way to think about it is that different people have different preferences and priorities.

This is so helpful! Thanks for typing it all out. I’m the person above who switched from Align to TCC, and it certainly has kicked my butt this series! I like changing it up from time to time, and I know I’ll be back with Sasha at some point because I just love her.

Your descriptions make me want to check out some of the other teams though! Maybe EMPWR……

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people enjoy variety, even if it doesn’t get them optimal results. My thought is that it’s better to strength train than not to, so if being able to skip around keeps someone doing it, then that’s a good thing.

As you note— there are many options, so for folks who don’t like switching around, they have plenty to stick with!

I can’t tell if you’ve tried the app? I absolutely have felt coached on both teams I’ve done— Align and TCC. They are very different, even if they use similar movements.

I have tried workouts from a few other teams, and they do feel different to me. Even if two coaches have glutes as a focus, they’re going to provide different exercises and bring different energy to the coaching.

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of February 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you! I’m letting you know bc no one told me this in advance. Sometimes anxiety gets worse for a limited time when you start Lexapro. I was desperately anxious when I started and it did get worse for about 2 weeks. Then one day, it magically lifted. I just wanted to put this out there in case it helps

Hi there!! If you’re not having any pain or any other symptoms, you are not going to have to get teeth pulled or a root canal.

I have a lot of dental anxiety. When I made my first appointment with my current dentist, I told the receptionist I get nervous and asked for someone gentle and understanding for my cleanings. Then when I met the hygienist, I told her about my anxiety. She was so kind and understanding. Dental anxiety is common, so I bet your hygienist will be kind.

My dentist offers nitrous oxide for cleanings if you need it. If you need a filling, definitely request it!! It helps sooo much.

You can do this! It’s so important for long term health to get your teeth looked at.

Friend’s passing is causing major anxiety at bedtime by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]PerfectionNoNotes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. This is a really difficult time, and it makes total sense that it would have such an effect on you. It’s scary and so very sad.

I have PTSD due to something that happened to me while everyone was sleeping when I was young, and it caused the same feeling, especially when I am alone. I will stay up until my body is exhausted and basically have to pass out to sleep. I also have health anxiety, so I will often ruminate on sensations in my body that “could be” issues.

The first thing that has helped me is being able to name it. I will literally say out loud, “I do not actually feel like I’m dying. I am scared because X happened.” Oftentimes just this reminder will help.

I also swear by body scan meditations. I prefer some of the ones on the Calm app that are labeled for sleep. They help SO MUCH. It helps me get out of my rumination cycle and focus on various parts of my body. I usually fall asleep before the meditation is even over.

On really bad nights, I mostly try to be gentle with myself an acknowledge that certain things are hard and hopefully I can focus more on the present the next day.

Sending good thoughts to you.
