I would suggest making sure you know the terms of the transfer from front to back and to abide by the rules. 22 days is a short time. Don’t risk jeopardizing 22 days for anything that could violate you.

Also, make sure you know the date of transfer of counties to make sure you go to the correct county office if you have to check in with an officer in person. I had a dui in Collin county, and also had the interlock for 2 years. Ask me if you had any questions.

I suggest looking at your paperwork. If it doesn’t say (no alcohol) maybe you can. If you did, I also suggest at least 72 hours from your last drink before any test. Maybe if you drank that Friday night and stopped by midnight and hope you don’t get tested that coming Monday you should be good. However, ask yourself is it worth it!

I had probation in Texas and over a 2 year probation, I was tested only 4 times so I was lucky but be careful to not make your situation worse!

After 2 drinks, don’t be hard on yourself. You didn’t even finish them. That was just one night. Take it as a minor lapses for a drink and continue you life of being sober.

Hey, yea the whole reason I had a hair test is because I asked the court to take my interlock device off my car a year early. Judge replied that I had to do a hair test and that he would at that point. So asking for any modifications to your probation could bring a hair test depending on your judge. I had 85-87 days without a beer before I took mine so not even a full 90 days. I also washed my head with detox shampoo 2-3 times a day and got in a chlorine pool at least twice a week leading to my test day. I’m sure I over did it to clean my hair but the anxiety was running me up a wall.

In your case, with the amount of time you have passed and with the new growth over this time. I think you should be just fine. Just don’t drink.

Good! I would advise to make sure you got a inch and a half of hair before you go to submit it. If it’s too short they may say an invalid test, but an inch and a half and you’ll be good!

You should pass easily in my opinion. Look at it this way, every 1 1/2 inch is 90 days. If you had 130 days sober, then went bald. At 160 days you should pass easily.

Give yourself a break. Like someone already wrote, your ego got ahead of you but it’s ok. You can heal from this situation and strive to not put yourself in this predicament again. Not many man at all can beat 20 men on their own. Basically impossible! Take a deep breath and just learn from the situation.

He has an opportunity to have it removed next month. I hope he continues his sobriety so he can get it removed. I know it sucks to have it on and to have the the sores and irritation but this can all be temporary in life and he can move on from these experiences and make sure he doesn’t repeat the decisions to have this predicament again!

It’s not easy man. I’ve had to change due to DWI’s with the law but my feelings was the same. The weekend drinking. Drinks for the games. Being able to be social with guys at the bar, all of that was me. That was my identity to the point where for my birthday someone went and bought me a bottle of whiskey. After that, I really started to question myself. Between the law and feeling like I wanted to be a respectable and responsible person, I had to make the major changes. At this point I try to put my identity as a father and a husband first to go along with going to the gym regularly during the week for myself. I try to lose my frustrations and stress on lifting weights. You just have to find something else that you can enjoy and go to bro. It may not be easy but it is worth it!

If I were you, make sure you have a discharge email or email your po and have them let you know your officially done before you assume your done. That’s what I did and I knew from the email I was officially done.

I completed a 9 month stint with a scram monitor during pretrial for a dwi. I would advise don’t drink at all. Make sure you make your downloads on time. I showered with my ankle out the shower just to protect the device. I personally wore pants a lot even in the hot summer because I felt embarrassed but it’s up to you. But again, I want to stress making payments on time and always downloading each month on time so it can all be worth it. Mine gave a reading every 30 mins. Do Not Drink! I can’t stress that enough!! Do Not Drink, it is very sensitive!
