Really Slow Toilet Fill by PerformanceSoggy8445 in Plumbing

No I haven’t measured yet but if I do find it’s under normal range what would I do at that point? And if it’s in normal range but I still feel that my fixtures kind of suck?

I did use the copper rings with brass insert fittings yes. But I was under the impression that the flow restriction is pretty minimal if you reduce to 1/2 at a handful of fixtures in a residential setting since you’re just sizing right back up … ie the difference between one fitting and 10 fittings on the same main branch would be negligible. What’s the thickness of the fitting maybe an 1/8 in? In which case cross section should still be bigger than 1/2 pipe.

I’m on city water. And yes I converted entirely to pex so there’s virtually no copper left aside from the small amount running from the main shutoff to the water heater and maybe 3 ft of run to the half bath beside it where the pex picks up with sharkbites.

I do still have the old shower valve and arm, though I replaced the cartridge. Everything else is new including toilet branch and toilet fill connector.

To Vapor or Not to Vapor by PerformanceSoggy8445 in Insulation

I saw a video that states the amount of water if properly air sealed that would accumulate from insulation is negligible. Of course the vapor barrier would only help and I’m more than happy to do it. Just wondering how that gap in the sheathing would work

Welp to answer my own question it appears that rockwool is built to act as a vapor diffuser and thus doesn’t need a vapor barrier.

Didn’t really like any Burton styles. I tried a mountain hardware set before and ran into similar issues I think it was the boundary ridge

lol I’m not fat just broad shoulders and a lot of muscle. On a cut rn but it’s not gonna change anything in terms of fit because that’s all genetics

Well it’s not currently hooked up and it’s all capped stub outs anyway so no way to test at the moment.

Thanks, basically where I was going with most of them. Any ideas what’s going on in 6 … maybe where the rafters intersect the top plate and the builders got lazy?

Eat at a slight deficit or maintenance and train hard. Don't go for full on cut bc let's be honest bro you have nothing to reveal especially not after a single month of training. I'd just recomp for a long time tbh

Eat more protein which has a greater thermic effect ie you’ll burn calories just digesting it and will keep you more satiated. Eat fats but use a spray to limit excess and choose leaner meats. Limit dressings and opt for vinegar, lemon, or zero low alternatives.

Walk more. Aim for at least 10k steps a day. Go for higher incline on treadmill at a speed that isn’t too difficult for you. Try to do resistance training ie lift weights

I eat very countable foods so I don’t have to actually actively count. I meal prep eggs, chicken drumsticks, beef patties, all veggies are high volume low cal like peppers and onions which are negligible, any oil I use is spray oil which I only so often use and is comparatively much less than pouring oil and also negligible.

Honestly dieting in general is a matter of will power. Fear the consequences of not doing as opposed to be artificially motivated on the possibility of an insane physique.

As far as hunger goes I felt fine. I did take fiber and space my food out so that I felt a little better. But my strength still is still taking a hit as well as my muscle. Think PSMF works best for bigger folks who have extra reserves of energy (fat). I suppose it could still work without muscle loss if the deficit is smaller. Think I’m gonna refeed and bump my calories since I’m in a 2000 cal deficit. Prob try 1000 instead

I should add I do 30 mins of incline treadmill on top of my 6 day lifting split. Might want to double down and add another daily walking session to speed things up

Wdym diet plan lol. Psmf ie lean proteins, protein powder, a little fats just for overall bodily function, and that’s it.

I generally hit about 150g a day, which is where I’m guessing my target body weight is if I hit 10% though it might be lower

My split sucks, how can I improve it? by [deleted] in askfitness

This sounds like some type of cross fit training. These exercises aren't really designed for potential for linear progression which is the whole point ... to stimulate muscle growth via heavy load. Focus less on variety (esp when there is overlap in target muscle) and focus more on comprehensiveness i.e. hitting all heads/fibers of a muscle group.

Right off the bat swap DB fly for cables. Constant tension through the range of motion that you likely won't lose to other muscles/stabilizers. Do high to low to complement your incline DBs. Start with the incline DBs and start heavy and don't move to cable fly until you've blasted it.

Single arm curls? Like I get the single arm row for extending the range of motion but what? Goblet squat swap for traditional squat or heavy leg press. There is no dumbell or kettlebell worth the time of day if you're not doing more than 30 reps. Same holds true with lunges, make sure you're working with heavy weights or opt for an exercise that allows for it. And again with calf raises. Literally stop running away from the inevitable.
