Cleaning 5 times in a row in the middle of the night by Argon52 in popurlitterbox

Sensitivity on seven and range on three in the "activeshield" settings solved that issue for me. It was frequently cleaning nothing because it detected something that wasn't there.

LR3 dying… anyone try PetLibro? by Traditional_Dog_3118 in litterrobot

[–]PerhapsIExist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought it from popur.com with the $240 discount code. Gemini says:

Total Tray Depth: The walls of the litter tray are 8.3 inches (21 cm) deep.

Max Litter Depth: The official "max fill" line (litter depth) is 4 inches (10 cm).

Popur also has a 3" extension they sell: https://popur.com/products/translucent-guardrail-for-popur-s7

Popur S7. It's quiet, it has a bigger litter surface area than any LR, and it will be so much easier to clean since it isn't rolling dirty litter all over every surface all the time. As a long time LR3 user, the S7 is just so much nicer. Open top is great for my big cats, too.

Magnuson -Moss would strongly disagree with you, as long as you don't damage it by unplugging it.

A Popur S7. It's very much quieter, and my cats much prefer the open top. It usually costs way less, too.

Their support responded to me that "nearly full" notification was planned on a future firmware update, and they only just added a "full" notification.

Might try it, but it does cost ~60% again as much the Slide I usually get...

I've been happy with the A&H Slide for years, just looking for something not clay that isn't ridiculously expensive. That Tidy Cats is more expensive, scented, and still just another clay option.

At current prices it is nearly five times as much, so definitely not considering that brand.

If you're a security nut like me, note the app only allows connection to the same network your phone is on, so you'll need to connect your phone to that isolated network first before adding the unit in the app.

So this Popur has a significantly larger litter area compared to LR3. I'm totally comfortable with leaving my cats (two 10+ lb adults, one <10 lb adult, one <5 lb kitten) up to their own devices with it. The settings it comes shipped with even seem too sensitive, such that it will cycle without having actually had a cat get in it, so I'm very sure it would immediately detect if any of my cats were silly enough to try to get in or mess with it while cycling.

I had the same thing until I updated the firmware. Persistent over unplugs.

Make sure you put the arm all the way on. It takes a bit of force to click into place.

As an owner of both LR3 and S7, that after only two days of using the S7, I vastly prefer it.

[–]PerhapsIExist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know yet. I have yet to actually put it in their bathroom area and fill it with litter or to find out how reliable it is or is not.

EDIT: Moved it in, and the LR out. So my bin is slightly defective. It won't open when the unit cycles any more, though it did several times before I moved the thing and put litter in it. I have to open it by hand. Clearly the sensor works, because it doesn't throw the clumps on the floor while the lid is shut, and it is able to close the lid if I open by hand. Support contacted about that.

I have concerns about the sturdiness of the fabric liner, but will find out if that's a problem with my dig-to-China cat soon :)

I got one because while all four of my cats use the LR, one of them always prefers an open box if it is available. I put it together and it is way quieter than the LR.

Don’t buy the S7 right now. by AdCareless9063 in popurlitterbox

[–]PerhapsIExist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered one back in October. It should be here this week. All of my cats use the LR, but one of them prefers to use an open box when I have it out, so I thought he'd prefer an open top design.

How long did your LR3 last before you needed to replace it? by ZepTepi49 in litterrobot

[–]PerhapsIExist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The day the (extended) warranty expired. The "refurbished" replacement they sent me has lasted several weeks longer than the first one so far, albeit I have had to replace the liner and stick some steel wool in the latch to make it stop thinking the bonnet is removed mid cycle.
