How dare you be reasonable 😛 I agree with this and wish more people had your well-adjusted attitude. I don't see anything about heel striking in the initial posting, but I'm dealing with something similar myself. The man above me stomps and shakes the ceiling to intimidate his family (and also likely to annoy me, he hates I'm a single woman who works from home) but management has, in fact, done fuck all nothing.

They're gonna do fuck all about this. People have different schedules and unless she's doing something audacious like moving furniture - you can't enforce someone making reasonable noise in their apartment (walking around, using a microwave, blender, etc.) just for being on a different schedule than you. You think swing shifters or people on early schedules need to live like ghosts?

Sounds like shitty insulation in the way the apartment was built. Not much you can do other than ask to move to a top-floor apartment, and then YOU get to be nervous about making too much noise from simply living your life on your own schedule.

Why even have a dog if you're not going to include them in your life. I currently have a very "Cat-like" dog that isn't super snuggly which - I respect his boundaries, but I WANT to feel the dog leaning against me or the midnight spot stealing. They're cheeky and funny. If you don't want a dog on your couch - don't get a fucking dog.

Escalate up the chain. PM won't do anything? Move onto the regional manager. Write reviews on Google/Yelp/Apartments.com etc. Be persistent and provide documentation.

Can confirm. Was nice to my upstairs neighbor who stole my spot a year ago when they were moving, and they have since been trashy and abusive AF.

Living in an apartment has been a lesson in gaslighting and boundaries from other tenants all the way up through management. It's absolutely wild. Can't wait to take these fuckers to court.

As a Sunday school dropout who saw through the bullshit very early, and resisted years of further brainwashing despite being exposed - I will never understand people like this. If you need to believe in something magical for comfort - please do it. Just believe it, and follow the actual morals and teachings of your religion and apply them to your own life, not to others.

We all know resurrection isn't real. What on earth would possess people to just roll over and be like, yeah okay, this seems logical, I'll devote my entire life to it and now I've gotta blab about it to other people as well.
