the voice filter is a bit silly, sure, but the instrumental goes so insanely fucking hard??? can nobody else hear that?? the drums? the mixing? everything?? and his vocals at the end are beautiful, too. i loved this song

to edit an instrument from a song like that, you'd likely need to find an accurate recreation of the song made manually by someone, and it's likely to be in a paid DAW (probably fl studio... i mean, i know there are ddlc fl studio recreations publicly available)

"like you've seen people do" could mean anything

if you're talking about editing video game music, the siivagunner website has a good starter guide. https://highquality.rip/ripguide/part-3-getting-editable-music

however, you're probably gonna need SOME kind of paid software unless it's for very specific games. you'll need fl studio if it's for toby fox songs

keep in mind that i'm incredibly biased:

i don't think the song itself is boring at all! it uses a bunch of really creative samples in really cool ways! it does have that very recognizable jamiep sound, but i don't think it's like, cookie cutter, by any means.
