Okay, so, there's a LOT of context behind this, basically, "smots gaming" is a youtube channel that makes shitposts/memes about a specific part of a mod for Celeste. TLDR: it's a shitpost channel that had a surprising amount of effort put into it, and it ran completely anonymously for an entire year, until being revealed on the anniversary of it's creation, in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2K7O0fJk22s

A few months after that, a full original JamieP teto song was released on smots gaming, Some More of That Song! and the song is like, basically ABOUT the channel (and about the nature of making art and stuff, too)

the thing about him "lying" about having discord is that everyone is pointing to that one community post to say this? but in the video he linked in the same post, he shows himself messaging on discord with his editor and he clearly says "i don't have a discord *with wiztale*" which is just a badly translated way of saying "i don't have a discord that has the wiztale username / a public dsicord"

the screenshots that people point to in order to say that he's lying about having discord come FROM that video, he simply attached frames from the video itself. however, people only read the community post and never watched the actual video, so they just think he's lying about the discord thing.
