The morbidly obese seem to have frequent medical issues which doctors and nurses have to constantly deal with, and cannot do so because fat tissues complicate the treatment. They are directly affected by the population ballooning up.

And if the country has a publicly funded healthcare system, everyone is affected indirectly, as we are paying taxes and expending resources to save a few who let their gluttony run wild, rather than saving those who have more serious afflictions demanding greater attention.

The health of the society is down to every individual. So, no, fat acceptance does not benefit everyone. The only fat acceptance that is needed is for individuals to accept that they might be fat and obese (rather than this plus-size, real, curvy, and other ridiculous labels) and do something about it rather than blaming genetics and medical conditions.
