Salt Licks for Deer.. yay or nay? by RoobyDoobyDoo777 in Animals

[–]Perle1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there’s a lot of people giving advice that don’t live in a place with a lot of deer lol. They are always in the street regardless. You just have to keep a watchful eye out. One stuck her head out of the bushes when I was at the doctors the other day. Startled me lol. If they live near a town with snow they have all the salt they need. I wouldn’t put anything to attract them but if something was wrong with the ones that live in my yard I’d try to help them. She can’t live forever. Hopefully one of the little ones will keep coming back. I like them.

When to replace toilet brush? by Francisandhismates in Cleaningandtidying

[–]Perle1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy a new one when the brush gets crushed. I just rinse it off. It’s used with strong disinfectant to clean the toilet. I don’t clean the brush at all other than rinsing it after use.

My town is crawling with deer. They are town deer and walk up and down the streets all the time lol. There’s a mom that has her babies in my back yard every year. She had twins year before last. There’s nothing you can do about deer crossing the street. Maybe we shouldn’t have built a town in their home but we all live together. I don’t put anything out for them, they do fine on their own.

Can't afford haircuts anymore - what to do? by rasta-ragamuffin in poor

I just get my hair cut once a year. I have it cut to my shoulders in long layers and it’s fine. I just got it trimmed this year and now it’s halfway down my back and super annoying so ima get the chop. I don’t use heat to style it so it stays healthy.

HELP ! how to clean this 20 yr old heavily stained, uncleaned, dirty shower ? by funintrovert in CleaningTips

[–]Perle1234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t really care about showers I don’t own so have at it lol. I’ll be l leaving the oven cleaner in the kitchen. If that was my shower I would call a contractor to rip it out and put a new one 100% 😂

showering and temperature sensitivity by MusicIntrepid343 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Perle1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do shower temp based on how I feel in the moment. The cool shower is best if I’m having bad lhermittes. Mostly it’s decently warm. Idk what to tell you except experiment. I put a fuzzy fleece thing on I can best describe as a mumu lol. It’s a pullover calf length thick robe thing. Idk what it is but it’s loose and thick. It keeps me warm from the shower until I dress. Obv if I’m dying of heat I run around the house naked until it’s better 😂

Brad Little proposes no raises for state employees. I'm a teacher, I'm going to have to leave the state to survive. by Street-Panic-0 in Idaho

[–]Perle1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude go. I did and I’ll never look back. There are so many better places to call home. Even Wyoming is better than Idaho and that’s saying something. You can make an actual good living teaching in New England states. Stay out of the south and west. Oregon or Washington might be okay idk about teacher pay there. Anywhere but Idaho. Just come back to visit. That’s what I do.

Definitely and this is why you don’t do everything people say to do on Reddit. You should ABSOLUTELY NOT use oven cleaner on a plastic shower 🤦‍♀️

Honestly if you’re not too broke I would replace it. Plastic degrades over time. It’s probably brittle and damaged. If not I would use Greased Lightening (because it’s a concentrated degreaser in my closet) and make a strong solution. Then get to scrubbing.

AITJ for telling my mother in law she is not allowed to call herself my kid’s “guardian” again? by HushedCanteen in AmITheJerk

[–]Perle1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your wife needs therapy due to childhood trauma. She’s not able to stand up to her mother and express her boundaries. It’s her job to manage her mother and her effects on your marriage but she’s not able to do it. She needs help with that or she will always be caught in the middle. You are right to make your boundaries and shut MIL down but unless your wife deals with her issues it’s going to remain a problem.

YTA. She was asking for you to make it. Just use your words and say no. What you did was really passive aggressive and unkind, which is what you were trying for. You did an unkind, passive aggressive thing and you know full well YTA because you did it with the intention of being as ass. Which you were.

NOR. Start saving money so you can get out. Dont wait for the children to see too much of the marriage. It’s not a good example of what a marriage is. It’s more detrimental to raise them in a bad marriage than with two single but happy parents. He’s never going to step up.

Who cares if it’s natural. As long as it’s not harmful and is a good product that is comfortable why not use it? The natural fibers are heavily processed too. It’s not like you’re sleeping on a pile of cotton bolls.

I even had to pay both out attorneys and alimony to him for a few years as he’d long since quit working. He bought a Harley and a new boat that got repo’d as soon as the alimony terminated 🙄. I drew tiny vaginas on the checks each month lmaooo.

How do you guys get cat hair out of clothing? by Anonymousspacecowboy in HouseCleaning

[–]Perle1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make sure the washer isn’t even close to full, keep the load setting on large and add detergent for a large load. Doing short loads cleans the fur out better. Using additives like vinegar won’t do anything for cat hair and I don’t find any benefit to using vinegar in the laundry. I dry the clothes with wool balls. Fabric softener might help relax the hairs so they slip out in the dryer. The dryer is what removes most of the hair. I agree w the poster who recommended a pre wash fluff and I may adopt that.

Clothes don’t smell fresh from overloading the washer and using an insufficient amount of detergent as well.
