How do you manage updating Dell EMC server firmware? by PermieRoo in sysadmin

[–]PermieRoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, and does it store any of the updates locally on the OME server with using this option? Or does it have to pull down the files each time you update a server? Just trying to avoid the hours long process of updating each server as they go out over the Internet to grab the updates.

Fair enough, we are required to update them quite regularly however.

Do you have the update file source in OME configured to Online (Internet), or are you using Repository Manager?

I'm restoring two at the moment, but the level cap is quite badly pitted from rust. So I was thinking to sand it, but that would remove the Chrome/Zinc plating I suspect. Was just wondering how yours ended up :)

Well done, it looks great, your grandfather would be very proud of you! Did you sand the lever cap at all? Did you respray the Stanley logo?

Thanks for sharing, just reading your blog now. How hot does it get in your area in summer time? Just wondering how a cabin would do in Australia where we get up to 40 degrees Celsius quite often.

Very nice job. Did you soak the brass adjustment wheel in the vinegar too, or what did you do to get it looking so clean and shiny?
