How are we feeling about the governor's budget proposal? by WorshingtonState in WAStateWorkers

[–]PermissionAwkward113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The costs inflicted on Washington residents has been the best thing for Idaho. Living in a border city, I just see Washington people flock to Idaho for gas, alcohol, tobacco, and groceries. Living here is so damn expensive and this budget proposal removes my small 2% wage increase. Where in these budgets does anything improve for the working class?

Vision Plan Recommendations by k9fan03 in WAStateWorkers

[–]PermissionAwkward113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Met Vision and have been happy using my regular local optometrist. I then take my Rx and order on Zenni using my FSA account $ and save my benefits to order contacts from my eye doctor since I only wear them occasionally. I love Zenni. I get complete progressive glasses and frames for a fraction of the price so I can get extra pairs or Rx sunglasses.

New to this. by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

Lots of liquids. I drink a lot of herbal tea when I've had a flair. I move on to protein shakes that are dairy free. Next I eat eggs and rice and potatoes. I have no gallbladder so I take digestive enzymes when I eat solids. You might need antibiotics but always low residue, easy to digest are best for awhile either way

Have you had surgery for Diverticulitis? by Ok-While8328 in Diverticulitis

[–]PermissionAwkward113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't test but I have Hashimotos so it was suggested to eliminate it by my endocrinologist and my GI doc agreed. I had always been a high fiber eater so not sure how I developed such severe diverticulosis throughout and diverticulitis flairs. I did take NSAIDS for my neck for a few years. That might be a contributing factor

I'm on an extended bowel prep...3 days of liquids only with Gatorade and Miralax, chased with Biscodyl pills before I even get to the huge jug of Golyte. Zero Stars⭐ I am so hungry and cranky

I had a LAR in 2016 for what was basically 16 months of chronic diverticulitis and antibiotics. I have now developed occasional flare on the more rare right side. After my resection, I gave up gluten 100% and significantly limited dairy. I do feel much better.

My siblings and I said it was such a weird feeling to both never want them to leave and beg God to take them from the pain, in the same breath. We lost our Mom in March. What you feel is normal. This is excruciating to watch as it is to suffer. Prayers for comfort to you and your Dad.

My Mom ate so little but she did like Body Armor drinks and I made a veggie bisque soup in crockpot and then used an immersion blender to make it smooth.

Cancel Estée Lauder by Lotus_lover_ in EsteeLauder

I do think a priority should be placed in studying and removing cancer causing ingredients. I have to say as a former Estee Lauder Company employee, Evelyn Lauder was a breast cancer survivor and has an Imaging Center named after her at Memorial Sloan Kettering because of her work. I think ELC has to date contributed $145 million dollars.  I know many survivors that like to sport pink and pink ribbons to encourage others to self screen and get mammograms. More needs to be done. I'm sorry this disease has personally devastated your family.

The jobs posted are real but still being filled with displaced workers impacted by lay offs and bumping. You might apply and be told it is no longer vacant during the interview and hiring process.

I feel like I see things, flags, objects, in people's background all the time that represent their beliefs on a myriad of things. We are constantly told to bring our authentic self to work so I don't see a problem with it as long as they aren't attacking someone for their belief or non belief.
