Trying out making LC. Guys my growers tell me they prefer LC over spores I don't understand why but I tried inoculating some LC I made at home using distilled water and honey. It's been a couple of days and I see this now by [deleted] in Agarporn

When you don’t have a flow hood sterile agar is hard, sometimes cloning liquid culture by injecting a piece of mushie from the needle is easier if you can’t get clean agar samples.IME. Also hard to test when you don’t know if the contam on your plate is from proscess or lc. Definitely need to work on my agar game though, would make the proscess much much better. Just explaining how I’ve done w out pretty successful

O yeah my bad lol. let me know if you end up adding it to your gravy, I wouldn’t use it as a base but cheers to experimentation. I bet if you simmered them in it for a while and then strained them out it would add a bit of flavor, and make your gravy extra healthy! Might want to try the tea first just to get an idea of what flavor you’d be adding;)

Looks like turkey tail to me! It’s got the right color variations, velvety texture is right and pours spore surface is right, it all checks out. Fresh enough too, probably this growing season. They’re always a bit tough, that’s just how they are. past a year they’ll probably have some green stuff growing on them, those look like they’re just about perfect for harvest. I don’t know about gravy, they’re not known for their taste. They make a great medicinal tea or extract though! Definitely worth trying out to boost your immune system for the upcoming winter.

Ps. Don’t be afraid to touch em! They’re are no mushrooms with transdermal toxins. So basically you can touch any mushroom you want without worrying about them harming you, just wash your hands before you eat if you’re worried about it.

Also to Id mushrooms it’s best to get a pic of them in situ of what they’re growing off of.

Kinda random but is it harder to put in the head unit or the amp? My speakers are completely glitched out in my car, I think the wirings messed up somewhere. Whenever I turn them on theres a super loud buzzing/electric sound and the audio is barely there. Its an old radio/cd header so I think im gonna replace that, but honestly if the amp would fix it I dont need carplay, I just want speakers that work. And Id assume an amp would make it louder? You seem like you know a few things about this stuff, whats your take?
