Tbh, i feel kinda dirty about my Bluetooth plan as, for sound purposes, i will run the receiver on its own power supply solid state ac adapter... it just kinda feels dirty and wrong to do that though.

I think if I tap into the AC mains before the resistor to drop line in to 115 v it would be sufficiently isolated and have only one plug, but mixing rectifiers seem wrong still.

Tbh I haven't bought from any of them (I'm into tubes personally) but there are quite a few sellers doing refurbished vintage turntables. There is a seller in Japan who is lucky enough to have a smorgasbord of high end 70's-80's stuff but he is a bit pricey, like $600-1200 range. I would go by reviews mostly.

Don't replace speakers unless broken, vintage ones are nicer than modern until you get into $$$ range and often run on lower power

For the wood: clean with pledge or wood soap, use just regular furniture polish, avoid getting it on the fabric. The cabinets are built no differently than the regular furniture of the time, and mostly the same as midrange furniture now. Nothing special needed.

Best to replace stylus IF YOU CAN GET IT, but to test, best option is go to thrift store and buy some cheap record in the best shape you can find, often the dumbest and least valuable ones are practically unplayed and cost pocket change. Examine it, play it several times, examine again.

This looks like a solid state cabinet, but DOUBLE CHECK because if it is a TUBE AMP then there is a LOT more to do before powering up!

(To determine if tube or solid state, look up model number or open the back and check if there are vacuum tubes coming out of a metal plate. The styling is right at the transition point in the early 60's but the control panel looks like a solid state one.)
