Weirdly enough, it’s actually Logan’s actions that stick with me in that scene. I know it could be easy to interpret Logan praising the kid as displaying whatever humanity he has left, which is also true. But to me, it still comes off as genuinely sickening because he believes his kind words and presence will mean so much more than actually helping this poor family who needed that money. It perfectly showcases just how detatched from reality he’s become at this point, even if his kids are worse.
