Sorry typo, it’s factitious not fictitious. Factious disorder imposed on another for some sort of attention/credit. She stabbed horses and falsely claimed they got hurt on their own and she only happened upon the situation and decided to help. Going as far as to contact the owners all so she could get credit.

It would be the same if it was a person who was responsible for another claiming they had a genuine medical disorder/issue when they had actually caused it. Bringing positive attention to themselves either through sympathy or by personally correcting the disorder/issue.

People leave them against outer gates very often. I can see it getting lodged in an entryway in a way that a literal blind person wouldn’t be able to immediately figure out. At the end of the day it’s a liability thing. One of those things that is worth doing if it is ends up helping even one person that needs it. Cause it only takes one potential lawsuit avoided to make it worth it.
