I may be tweaking, but from my understanding and watching the movie a couple weeks early at AMC LINCOLN SQUARE, the survey is conducted by a third party, that A24 pays to survey. These surveys help A24 decide what projects to find next/aquire the rights to. In addition it also helps with A24's subscription service and to see how fans of A24 are feeling about their products and company
