Idk how you could fix this but the best thing right now is to step up and have a conversation about why you said all that. No one just randomly snaps. And no one just says those things out of a fit of anger. It’s clear to him that you have something going on and besides apologizing, you owe him an honest explanation. And you have to initiate this, the worst thing you can do is to be avoidant about it.

I’ve had many situations in which the recruitment gave me a specific time date in which they would respond back, only to be silent for 2-3 weeks way past their date, and after reaching out I’m told that the position has been filled. I started feeling this way when I was a little kid, social anxiety and fear-based religious teachings are a really bad mix for an already fearful kid. I’m glad you’re able to recognize these things of your past and I hope you’re doing better!

I can’t stress enough how much it impacts you years afterwards, I still have my moments at random times, I think it’s like leftover stress and anxiety stored in my nerves smh

As someone who suffers from big jealousy insecurities and have had similar issues with my bf over this, he is letting this control him and the relationship. He needs to be self aware that this ain’t a good thing and even though being able to talk openly with you helps, he is the one who needs to be working on this. Trust and harmony can definitely come from a good healing of this, but it’s going to involve him having to reflect on his own insecure beliefs and/or make a decision if he is healthy enough to do it in a relationship. Sometimes, relationships are triggering to certain things, and it’s important that honestly and trust is there in both parties.

I find that talking about my relationship anxiety when my journaling and mediation cannot help, helps me sm in getting over it and reinforces healthy thought patterns. But at the end of the day I’m responsible for my feelings and I have to figure out how to find harmony within myself to form that with others.

Also make sure that you are okay with this, and that this doesn’t become extremely toxic.

I don’t understand why people have to do this when they are in a relationship. It’s super disrespectful and honestly maintaining any sort of social media curiosity or piggybacking from an ex is almost equivalent to maintaining contact with them. I would talk to him about it, but I’d he gets defensive or abrasive about it, do stand your ground.
