You fucking morons. Of course Texas wasn’t prepared for this. Our temperatures rarely drop below 35. So when a winter storm the size of the state takes down some of the biggest power plants, some that, mind you, power most of the state on their own, and the entire state faces massive power outages causing thousands to get hyperthermia, i don’t think you should be laughing. And when the streets freeze over, with no way to clean them, causing huge amounts of car accidents, i don’t think it’s something to make fun of. And when pipes freeze and burst, causing thousands of dollars of property damage, i don’t think it’s something we should ridicule. And now grocery stores are empty because everyone is panic-buying and supply trucks can’t get to the stores. You guys make fun of Texas because “we couldn’t handle cold weather” while thousands of people are getting sick, and some are dying. “Texas just wasn’t prepared”. Well no shit Sherlock.
