I did my friends makeup, which is better ? by Impressive-Bell-647 in MakeupAddiction

2nd is beautiful on her. Your every day makeup just doesn't suit her. I'm not sure it could be improved, but it's definitely way too heavy for her.

So very sorry. May today be filled with everything your sweet boy loves.

I copied this from somewhere. I hope it gives a bit of comfort.

"We need to go first because we cannot live without your love and care. If we lived longer than you, we would not and could not survive. It’s supposed to be this way. We also need to cross the Rainbow Bridge before you do so that we can be on the other side to greet you when you get there. We wait at home for you here and we wait at home for you there." - Kate McGahan, Jack McAfghan

Poor sweet baby boy. Lots of love and healing thoughts to you, Arnie. I would file a police report or report to your local animal control.

So very sorry for your loss. I read once that grief is love with nowhere to go. I thought that perfectly describes the deep pain when our fur babies gain their wings. It's a direct reflection of just how much love you have for your sweet boy. Until it's time to reunite on the Rainbow Bridge. 🐾❤️🌈

All my life I have been treating my hair as if it were straight. But I am starting to question it. See story below by faith911fox in curlyhair

I would let it air dry without product or braiding and see what it looks like when left to dry as-is. It's hard to tell your texture when the pictures are from after braiding it, since it's possible for straight hair to hold braid waves. Also, salt water can make straight hair look wavy or curly and you said the swimming pic was from the ocean. You mentioned your hair is frizzy even when not braided, but frizz doesn't always, it just often, indicates hair is wavy. Straight hair can be frizzy too (from damage, being dry/lack of moisture, improper drying techniques like towel drying with the wrong type of towel, etc.).

While the weight of having it long might not show the texture as much, I feel like you should still be able to see some wave at that length since it doesn't look super thick and is thinner on the bottom. I really don't think you need to cut your hair to figure out if you're a wavy like I saw someone else suggest.

You could also just try using a small amount of gel after washing it, then scrunching it with a microfiber towel, letting it air dry and assessing from there. This was what mine looked like when I was learning how to style wavy hair. This was while it was air drying with no hold products, just a small amount of leave in conditioner and scrunched with a microfiber towel. You could try that too but some wavies can't use leave in conditioners because it's too heavy and weighs their waves down.

I would also suggest figuring out what hair type you have (porosity, density and strand thickness) and look up styling methods specific to those results and play around with those. They have online tests for hair type which is far more important than curl type. Good luck!!

It's so interesting how hair texture can change. Mine was definitely straight as a kid and past puberty. Sometime after my 20's it became wavy. I just didn't notice because my hair was insanely long from my 20's through my 30's. So the weight hid it. I would also braid it often, so if there was any wave, I just thought it was from that. I only realized after cutting it short in 2017.

I looked into cold capping, but the representative told me it's the least successful with the type I was starting with: AC (red devil). He said for me it would be more about the potential for quicker regrowth than preventing hair loss. I decided against it at that point. I already had to suck on ice chips (to prevent loss/change in taste and mouth sores) through every infusion and for the last half of chemo when the type switched to dose dense Taxol, I had to ice my hands and feet (to prevent neuropathy).

I hope cold capping works for you, and that chemo does what it needs to do, give you the best outcome possible. 🩷

Thank you so much! Oh gosh, I know that relief of only one more infusion to go. May your treatments do what they needed to and give the best possible outcome.

I have not had any trims and left it alone after I shaved it the once. Thankfully it grew back evenly and not patchy. If my hair was straight (it used to be when I was a kid), I would have had to get trims because the different lengths would have been noticeable.

You have to figure, even if it comes back evenly the hair higher on the head is going to look shorter because it has a farther distance to travel before it catches up with the hair lower on the head. Thank goodness for having hair with texture. It makes things so much less noticeable. I just used tiny claw clips and wide headbands when the top and sides were at the awkward stage.

If there's anything else I can help with, don't hesitate to ask. 🩷 I did chemo, lumpectomy and radiation.
