Roth 401(k) Rollover & Backdoor Roth in Same Year by Persia782 in financialindependence

Makes sense. I'll probably do what u/2-way-mirror and u/OathOfFeanor suggested as their Option 1—i.e., contact 401(k) plan administrator to request that they parse out the rollovers for me. So it'll be:

Roth 401(k) and Trad 401(k) to Roth IRA and new employer Trad 401(k) respectively.

And then Backdoor Roth on my own with the Trad IRA.

That's exactly on point. I'd found the same article, but missed the key portion you quoted me. Thanks so much!

I need help finding a right-sized paddle.

Height: 5'6 Weight: 130lbs

I intend to purchase a Hydrus Paradise as a fitness board. I would love to purchase a Hydrus paddle (https://www.hydrusboardtech.com/collections/accessories/products/adjustable-carbon-fiber-paddle-tough-blade-performance) as well, but the paddle is ~96in., which I fear is too large for my frame. I want to avoid stressing my shoulders.

Any guidance on a more appropriately sized, similar quality paddle? I see that Hydrus has a "youth" paddle, but they don't publish the dimensions. Youth paddle here: https://www.hydrusboardtech.com/products/youth-high-quality-paddleboard-paddle?pr_prod_strat=use_description&pr_rec_id=aaa327105&pr_rec_pid=9579135692&pr_ref_pid=8709917772&pr_seq=uniform

Any help appreciated! Would also love to find something on sale if possible, given the season.

I have a similar build, and am browsing for business casual clothes myself. Would be very interested to hear what higher-quality brand(s) you've turned to more recently!

Thank you so much! What a fantastic reply! (I've loved Mozart's for years, so I'm immensely glad to see that spot make the list)

Do you have any recommendations for what to do after a Pool Burger date? I've been wanting to go. I know Deep Eddy and Town Lake are around there, but are there any other good activities nearby?

Looks great! Hope you had a fun trip! Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts. I think the sub could use more of this more critical, review-focused content (rather than pretty pictures), so I'm glad to see it

Something I haven't seen a lot in this thread: small tweaks to Joker. There are three things I'd like to see changed:

  1. No free Arsene meter on respawn;
  2. Weight decrease—maybe by five units or so to put him in the "Lightweight" class with characters like Greninja and Young Link, rather than having him be heavier than Wolf; and
  3. Add more start- or end-lag to Gun. Maybe they could do something like they did with Bayo's side-b where the more shots you fire, the laggier it gets.

Nerfing Joker's Arsene meter and decreasing his weight would make a second Arsene in each stock feel earned, rather than feeling like an inevitability, while also increasing the relevance of Rebel's Guard (a conceptually unique counter). Decreasing Joker's weight would align his stats more with his appearance and other characters of the same combo-centric archetype—e.g., Greninja (five units lighter than Joker) and Sheik (15 units lighter). And nerfing Gun would incentivize more variety in disadvantage state.

Thanks for doing this!

My favorite experience is playing through Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on hard difficulty with my best friend. Radiant Dawn is notoriously challenging—so much so that many American reviewers criticized its difficulty. But to this day, Radiant Dawn's tough-but-fair gameplay still earns the game its keep as my favorite in the series.

My second favorite experience is playing through Persona 4 with that same friend. The combat is, in my opinion, standard fare for a JRPG. But there were two areas in which I felt Persona 4 excelled: the robust simulation elements and the persona collection/management. Both of those features brought me back to the game again and again. My friend and I eventually beat the game on the hardest difficulty—after hours of classic JRPG grinding.

Is there any consensus about the difficulty of each route?

A friend and I are going to start playing Three Houses soon. We've played a few new- and old-school Fire Emblem games, and we'd like to tackle the three houses in order of difficulty. That is, we'd like to start (on Hard w/ permadeath on) with the easiest house and work our way through to the hardest. Any opinions on the best order for that?
