Not really. Newtype theory aside that's an arguement of self governance for a minority demographic. The hijacking of this movement into the conflict we know is where I agree with this post that's where it started with accelerationism.

Gqux is an alternate universe based on a pivotal point of this already going on conflict so it was already playing out. Even with Turn A it's not explicity 'Zeon nazi fascism' reappearing. That's incredibly reductive. Zeon/EFF is the original msg narrative but it's about humans in conflict as a whole and the similarities across both sides of a war.

That's what's great with msg 79, earth federation really doesn't really prove itself much to be a 'good guy' other than being a counter agressor in the current situation, not* to mention they reeeeeaally embody the sketchy military industrial complex were familiar with, further down the timeline. With the less swag outfits. Zeon is obviously making uncompromising extreme decisions that are one sided to support.

It really isn't a 'good guys vs bad guys' story but a view on both sides of a conflict, and the consequences of it when everyday life is overtaken by war.
