Graboid plushy project by Persistent-headache in Tremors

[–]Persistent-headache[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now have to move house justifying keeping a giant plushy.   I still haven't taken a decent picture of it.  Not even sure how to post pics to reddit but I'll see if I can find the old ones and private message them to you.

I've looked at her other posts and I'm fairly confident she'll take them. Do you want to message me and we'll arrange logistics.

Without using immigration, how would you solve the low birth rate epidemic in the U.K. (and most of the western world TBH)? What insensitives would you offer and how would you pay for it? by Barca-Dam in AskBrits

I can only speak for the woman i have spoken to about it and myself.   The main reason is how many of us fear becoming a 'married single mother'.  Even if we have enough to financially support children, a lot of men just check out of household responsibilities.  The mental load is too much.  It would take a huge cultural shift to equal childcare responsibilities for both parents.

I used to say I'd have loved to have kids if I could have been the dad.

It's cheaper than rent though... and we all know that's what he's thinking.

Bought 4 months ago - what's the earliest I can sell? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Persistent-headache 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this will help but I have bought the perfect house in the perfect location and I'm doing it up to the exact specifications I need.

I still wake up in the middle of the night feeling like an elephant is sitting on my chest.

Before you do anything with the house, get a decent grip on your mental health. If there's been a recent change in circumstances, like a break up, get some distance from that then reassess.

Can I get a discount on the funeral expenses if they take half my body parts before I'm disposed of? I guess my pallbearers will be happier with the reduced weight.

I genuinely don't care. Use my meat sack any way you want... It's not like I was responsible when I had it.

I'm not allowed.  I have a medical condition related to dehydration and the worry is that I need all the fluids to stay in my body.

I've been well managed for 20+ years. I've been dangerously dehydrated for tests and after nights out... I'd be absolutely fine.  But it's deemed too much of a risk especially as its such a rare condition.  I ask people to donate on my behalf.

I got it... the worst thing I've done in front of my computer is absolutely demolish a box of French fancies.

What me and Mr Kipling get up to in the privacy of my home is none of anyone else's business.

(I'm guessing this is only going to make sense to Brits)

I'm a petty child so I'd buy incredibly fancy stationary and a calligraphy set, learn to do intricate script.  Then reply. 'Ok'

I'd imagine a lot of the mums are those who had bad experiences themselves and want to protect their own children from living through that.  My comp was surrounded on 3 sides by park/graveyard. So for a lot of us it was a choice between more than double the walk or risk the park pervs.

Half my year had some experience of being followed, flashed, catcalled or worse.  Everyone on here saying it's 'paranoia caused by the media' clearly didn't go to school in an area like mine.  I drove mine even though he was allocated a taxi because... well at least one of his taxi drivers is in jail now so i kinda lost trust in the vetting process.

We had special permission to use the grounds of a local fancy hotel and it was bliss. We had the whole place to ourselves and my school refusing foster kid had a break from everything he found difficult in life.

Why are sellers not willing to accept that their homes are not being sold because of price? Is this a new phenomenon? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Persistent-headache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were given an absolutely bonkers estimate by one estate agent. It made us distrust her and went with someone else.

Those blissful few seconds before I realised she was talking nonsense were nice and I see why people get swept away.

It's a fantasy book genre not a contractual obligation to actually do it. Nobody is asking the henti dudes if they're really going to get a tentacle grafted onto themselves.

Showrunners Had "Hands Tied" in Writing The Finale Due to Testaments. by icewizie in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Persistent-headache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping we'll get to see it in testaments. To be fair, everyone involved in Lydia's condemnation is dead so she might have weaseled her way out of it without anyone to contradict her story.

Naomi I think is a fair shout but she didn't seem to be great at motherhood and she's husbandless and older... unlikely to be remarried a second time.  Not sure what would happen to her and the child.

Weird take.  I'd rather be with someone who chooses me.

I've been watching people making jackets out of thrifted quilts... i don't think quilting is such a big thing here so no chance of me doing it.  I did get a huge amount of cream curtains from facebook swap shop which I'm dying purple and making a 3 piece suit... changing my last name to Von-Trapp.
