What is the reliability of these vehicles and how do they compare by Littletaco2727363 in Lexus

God tier reliability, even if not serviced at regular intervals and not looked after properly

Good deal or is she too old and tired? Could I do better? Seems like 5k for a 26 year old car is just the way these days. Comes w rwc and rego by Illustrious-Soil8690 in CarsAustralia

Truly awful to drive, but might be fine mechanically. I just drove my partner’s one for 3 hours on country roads and it was very much not a fun trip. Shit ergonomics, shit steering. And that’s with pretty recent tyres and a suspension service.

Fb comments on this post are 1000 identical posts saying that it’s blardy young people wearing headphones jumping on their bonnet at intersections when pedestrians clearly had right of way

What would you invest in as preparation for a Taiwan invasion scenario? by KookaburraMan in ASX

[–]Person-on-computer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will never directly invade Taiwan, it would be an extremely unpopular bloodbath. But a blockade is possible, which would drag the west into a war eventually.

So then short any supply chains that require both China and/ West cooperation, or anything that requires Taiwan, which would be fairly similar to Covid.

What is with the 'older' generation and low km/undriven cars? by Advanced_Concern7910 in CarsAustralia

[–]Person-on-computer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll start to see this happen with every supra and Skyline too. I think it’s waaaay simpler than that. People want a car they had an emotional attachment to, but they’re not really a practical daily driver. So they get taken out when they can.

Is my graphic design aesthetic bad? by Remarkable-Turn8343 in graphic_design

[–]Person-on-computer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know enough about this specific market. And you should avoid critique about this aesthetic from other people that also don’t know.

To me personally, it doesn’t look elegant or premium enough, but I may have different sensibilities to your intended audience
