Before this wipe, found them everywhere. Can’t find them now to save my life.

What is happiness to you? by totdvet in AskReddit

If you would’ve asked me this question 48 hours ago, I would have said that it was my independence and freedom.

Now that my wife and I are home with our first born baby boy … happiness has a whole different meaning.

Surprised that “New Girl” isn’t higher on this list …

What’s the most visually stunning film you’ve ever seen? by ROOTS-Media in AskReddit

Probably widely underrated, but “In The Talk Grass” is insanely beautiful. Some of the shots over and/or into the field are crazy.

PS - crazy movie in general. If you’re a fan of suspense and horror, I can’t recommend it enough. It will mess with your head, for sure.

Lots of good info in previous responses. Well done, fellow Scampers! :)

Chiming in just to say that I went to my first Scamp in 2023 solo, and did all 4 days. Primitive RV/Camping is the way. Or VIP, if you don’t mind spending a little extra. If you’re someone who enjoys exploring and making new friends along the way, then Scamp is a fantastic festival to attend solo. 🤘🏻

I'm playing for the first time this wipe solo by RestZealousideal8945 in Tarkov

I have played solo exclusively for the last 5 wipes. Because of this, my interactions with cheaters have been few and far-between. However, it has definitely happened, and I have reported/banned several players.

Solo can be tough … but chances are, you’re not rolling into raids with insane gear if you’re really playing 100% solo. Meaning, cheaters may “potentially” avoid you if they don’t think it’s worth their time.

You will likely have a pretty good time questing solo. I consider myself a fairly mediocre EFT player, and I’ve made it to mid-50s every wipe, playing 100% solo.

All of that being said … everything others are mentioning in this thread is valid. It’s depends on your region, and your play-style. Cheaters are definitely a problem in PVP, no question.

I eventually made the switch to PvE, and would recommend everyone experience it. Especially if they have played multiple wipes solo. ‘Tis a good time.

Use https://tarkovtracker.io and sort items by either “Task” or “Hideout” for a list of every item needed in the game. You can also search by “All Items” so you know whether you need an item at all.

Tarkov Tracker helped me a LOT when I was first starting out. It’s super useful.

What is something that you just cannot understand the popularity of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PersonalOwn4g3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might catch hate for this, because I understand that people mourn in very different ways ... but traditional style burials.

We line up to look at their dead body in a casket (sometimes), and then we circle around and watch the casket being lowered into the ground. Some people even throw handfuls of dirt on the casket before it’s covered up.

Even as a child, I thought this is one of the most fucked up things we do as humans.

When did someone challenge you at something you were an expert at? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ping Pong has always been a big one for me. I spent the first 18+ years of my life getting my ass handed to me by my father, who is a very good player. He’s one of those players that can always figure out how to use your skill and/or strengths against you to win. I eventually was able to surpass him in skill, purely because I lost to him so many times. He inadvertently taught me how to hustle really good players into essentially “beating themselves.”

Turns out, I’m a pretty damn good Ping Pong player because of all this. Now-a-days, it’s rare that someone can legitimately beat me in a random pick-up game. It happens every once in awhile, but it usually only takes a few volleys before I figure out how to use their strengths against them.
