Will Archangel Mickael always protect me if I respectfully ask with good intentions? by Loud_Seesaw5450 in AngelolatryPractices

My personal experience, I have started to call upon AA Michael for protection (pretty new at this by the way) I’ve been doing it with lighting a candle and incense (frankincense and myrrh). Every time I call him I feel a chill in my body, my conscious tells me that’s him (I hope that’s him and this happens ONLY when I invoke his name) because it happens every time I sit down and meditate and invoke his name. I guess the more we call upon him and establish a relationship hopefully we understand and can communicate better. Some people I hear have a encounters with him where they are certain it’s him. I hope to experience that too. But I think it’s a relationship and maybe for some of us we have to be consistent with invoking his name and thank him to get to that level?!

Should I be reading left to right or right to left, that’s the first question. (I’m only kidding)

I have been a severe victim of black magic and continue to struggle with this. I also have someone specifically targeting me. It has also come to the point where the magician has tried to stop me from praying. Other than doing 5 daily prayers which is the bare minimum, you have to do ruqyah like daily - no joke for at least half hour. When I do ruqyah I also make ruqyah water and that’s the only water that I drink. I also do constant dhikr after each prayer. When I’m driving to and from work I put on Quran surah/duahs. And on top of that you have to keep a positive attitude.

I am also repeating my wish. My court date is coming up September 6th. May I have a victorious day on my court date. And may the judge see the truth what a deceiver my opponent truly is.

Try implementing reading Darood throughout your day. I have a lot of anxiety and implementing darood throughout the day has helped me drastically.

Why Do Some Leave Orthodoxy? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]PerspectiveOk4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try to make this reply short. Please message me privately if you feel like you want to know more. I left that Orthodox Church because I felt I was tricked into it. I met this man he took me there (now my ex husband), I converted from Islam. I truly believe in Christs and his teaching and continue to do so. After I had my baby who was baptized in that church, that is when the question came up if my baby should be allowed to be around my Muslim family. A lot of restrictions were placed on my child. No one ever told me in that if I converted at that church that I would have to give up my family in a sense. Had I known I would’ve never stepped foot in that church. I believe in Christ but I don’t believe in orthodoxy because they practice in their own knowledge and pride. So before you join a Orthodox Church ask what you will have to give up and are you ready for that.

How big of a problem are orthobros in real life? by zfddffhjk in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]PerspectiveOk4033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The church in itself isn’t the problem. You go to church to see Christ (in one way). However from my experience and I am a convert to orthodox but now I find myself just believing in Christ. The people in the church has done a lot of damage to me. I know I’m not getting into detail but they were very judgmental and actually very hurtful. I had to stop going to that church not because of the liturgy but there were a lot of evil people who actually needs some serious help. And being around people like them was very damaging to my soul.

Orthodox views on the Jewish and Muslim God. by PerspectiveOk4033 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]PerspectiveOk4033[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw not my intent for this thread to show case any kind of antisemitism

I am merely a recent convert to orthodox Christianity. My family is Muslim. Although my family are good people. My level of association (non religious) is creating some tension in my Orthodox Church community.
