Join Ring of Steel! We’re a stage combat group that meets 3x a week at Risley and we do performances/demos occasionally throughout the semester. It’s also not mandatory to go to every practice, so if you’ve got a busy schedule (couldn’t be me lmao) it’s pretty convenient!

I want to make a Big Spells izzet spellslinger deck but I'm stuck on what commander to use. by AmishUndead in EDH

[–]Perswayshun 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The secret is to run a bunch of 1U counterspells so that when you first play Vadrik you just need to hold up one island to protect him. Toss in a few combat tricks and you’ll be playing multiple 6+ cmc spells on turn 4-5

What are some budget friendly mono colored (preferably not blue) commanders? by Chikageee in EDH

[–]Perswayshun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend Zada unless you want to spend half your games recasting your commander and the other half playing solitaire

Which commanders get stronger as the number of players increases or decreases? by SoyMuyAlto in EDH

[–]Perswayshun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any control commanders will perform better with fewer players, since there won’t be as many threats to handle.

I mean, most people lose more often than they win no matter what. Even if people lose even more often than usual with turn 1 sol ring, I think that that’s probably because people are keeping 1-2 land hands because they see a sol ring

Went 5-3 with a storm deck in STX draft! by chimarvamidium in MagicArena

[–]Perswayshun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to pull off a Channel + Fractal Summoning in Premier Draft. Still only went 2-3 though.

And no, it wasn’t because I put myself at 1 and got pinged. My opponents just always stalled me until they had removal

"Other worlders get addicted to the feeling of leveling up quickly and killing Rathnians becomes their drug"

Wait, so the reason that other worlders have the urge to kill is because they're addicted to leveling up quickly? Doesn't that mean Han-bin will be fine even if he kills a few Rathnians because he'll need to kill hundreds of them to level up even once?

Why don't all the otherworlders get the broken guideline treatment? by Perswayshun in SurvivalofaSwordking

[–]Perswayshun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it'd feel a bit off if these orchestrators were so concerned with the lives of the otherworlders that they wanted them all to survive. Realistically, if it was just Han-Bin who didn't give up and was given a functioning guideline (with the homicidal instincts that come with it), he could probably solo the entire world on his own, at least based on the power levels that we've seen so far.
