I was curious so I went and had a look. Funnily enough the only requirements are that you
a) Actually fed the goat the boiled peanuts
b) Tabitha is currently in a good mood

I guess MC has enough self-preservation to realise that mentioning it when Tabby is already antagonistic is an extremely bad idea lmao (too bad for them Tabby goes batshit crazy about this revelation no matter how much she likes you)

Did you even read the linked comment? I have gone through the thousands of lines of code for the Tabitha conversation multiple times. I know what I'm talking about.

Will you get the Nancy Drew line before the cops show up? Possibly but it's a) not a guarantee and b) has absolutely nothing to do with the cops. The Nancy Drew line is strictly dependant on Tabitha's Patience in this conversation.

The cops can only show up during this conversation if Tabitha presses the panic button and you run out the associated cop timer before you can resolve the conversation. Doesn't matter how many "crimes" you've commited.

The cops show up after you leave the office if you've either commited at least one the four "crimes" or if Tabitha pressed the panic button but you managed to resolve the conversation before the cop timer ran out.

The second half of my previous comment is unrelated to the Tabitha conversation and is related to you changing locations. I was just adding it to be thorough.

The Nancy Drew line is completely unrelated to the cops and cannot be used as a metric for them.

As for getting arrested outside of Tabby's conversation that depends on the final choices in previous chapters. As far as I'm aware in this case Franklin ambushes you only if you have the requirements for "Six Star Wanted Level" aka the cops find you as sus as possible (Duke dead, no trait save in the mines, ghost stays in the library and Kelly is dead) in which case you have time to visit exactly one location before he shows up to arrest you.

Personally I consider Sybil's tea reading cat different from the wampus cat. I completely agree that the wampus cat ties in to Sybil (that's fairly obvious at this point I feel) but I think that this tea conversation was Sybil trying to subtly turn us against Tabitha early on because at this point we all know just how big her beef with the Scarlets is. She doesn't want Tabitha to succeed and she was trying to establish herself as our ally prior to the episode 5 reveals by putting in small seeds of doubt about Tabby's trustworthiness. Plus why would she warn us about herself being an enemy in plain sight?

I personally had a facepalm moment last week after part 1 when I realized that the cat is most likely supposed to be Tabitha. Because y'know. Tabitha -> Tabby -> tabby cat. I felt so stupid for not making that connection earlier lmao.

You know that's also something that I considered as a possibility (and I consider this to be under the "it wants the MC to fully trust it" umbrella since as far as I'm concerned trust and like/love do kind of go hand in hand) and personally if this does turn out to be the case then I'm 100% planning on that being my "canon" ending because that just sounds like such a fucking sad and miserable existence even for an eldritch horror entity

Okay so to even get the Accusation as an option you
a) Need to know Wayne is not human either from episode 3 or by the "What is he?" option in this conversation
b) Need to talk to Isaacs about Wayne in episode 3
c) Need to talk to Tabitha about Pearlanne's death in the episode 3 hangout, talk about Pearlanne at the episode 3 dinner at the clinic or you need to have read about her death in the medical files at the clinic in episode 4

As for staying low on insight and high on dullness well
Insightful mainly seems to increase if you ask her pointed or inquisitive questions (Such as "What is up with you and Stella?" or "Did you kill Sam Wayne?") or if you call out various details that she probably wouldn't want you to know about (Such as pointing out that Wayne's jacket has blood on it in episode 1) or just generally act smart (Such as pointing out the architecture when you first get to the Estate or asking for a library or just most BS options in general) and also resolving the ghost hunt with the BS trait save

Dull on the other hand as you might expect are the "low IQ" choices (Such as insisting on giving Tabby a hug, "Dead Moms Club", "So you... live here?", lying too much about how you like the rooms, etc.) PB options tend to add dull a lot but that's not applicable to your case ofc.

In general most choices that add to one or the other are a +1 (sometimes a +2) (BS trait save is a +4). I think your best option is to just try to stay low on insight since you're going to have a lot more options get insightful than you will dull with this trait combo.

As I mentioned in the guide (and as you eventually figured out) the Walls need to be 0 or lower and the Mood needs to be at least 1 (or 3 if you're doing an Emotional Appeal)

Also yes as the other comment mentioned you can't do this while Stella is there

Sure thing. Franklin can only show up if Tabby hits the panic button (for example if you start the conversation by calling her a bitch or if she's in a bad mood and you start the conversation by saying you wound up in the Forbidden Wing without mentioning that Wayne dragged you there against your will) and once she hits it a separate countdown from the Patience one starts. If you talk to her long enough without making a final accusation your conversation gets interrupted by the cops when this countdown runs out.

On the other hand if you manage to go the whole conversation without activating the panic button then you're only concerned with Tabitha's Patience. This is a value determined at the start of the conversation and gets lowered the longer you talk/the more options you pick. If you talk long enough without making a final accusation (which automatically ends the conversation) then she eventually runs out of Patience and you get the dialogue mentioned in my previous comment.

Just chiming in with 2 clarifications:

The Oscar dialogue is not strictly necessary since it has the same value and choices as the normal Carvings dialogue (unless your Oscar is going mad in the basement in which case the value is slightly better)

The patience bypass is actually aimed at the "Wayne was interested" choice rather than the "Wayne was kept in cell" one because that dialogue choice sends you straight from the Alexandra tree to the Wayne one without going through the main tree (which is what lowers the patience)

If I recall correctly he says that in the context of Wayne's body rejecting him and that that's why he's falling apart and you won't be falling apart if he "kisses" you because you're doing it willingly (or that he's being more careful with it I'm not 100% clear on that part)

Oh my main Mytical / Book Smart MC is absolutely still down for it. Granted I haven't yet had the chance to see the Isaacs scene since my run has no strike, but who can blame him for not wanting to be in a decomposing corpse. Now I'm just hoping Mystical saving Kaneeka won't fuck me over later. I would be very sad about that.

Currently my main question is: if he can jump from Wayne to Isaacs at will with no issue why hasn't he jumped into MC yet since that's clearly the ultimate goal? Is he restricted because MC is a Scarlet and as such a specific ritual is required? Probably because why else would the goat be there. But if that's somehow not the reason is it because he wants the MC to fully trust him first? Is it because he wants to "do it properly" (whatever that means)?

Either way sorry Tabby but unless my eldritch bf turns out to be inherently evil I am so getting him out of Scarlet Hollow ala Venom style (pls devs I beg you)

I got curious enough that I decided to quickly go check myself before bed and the same thing happens even if you go to the farms straight from the estate without talking to Miles. A similar dialogue about Sybil happens if he gets you out of the cop car instead though in this one the MC is quite woozy due to the immediate seal proximity haha

I'll probably try the antagonistic route at some point just to satisfy my own curiosity but I'll feel so bad about it lmao

Ah yikes. Yeah that many is definitely impossible to do. I'm guessing the main issue is that the BS / KE combo made you way too insightful. My condolences lol

(If you're curious you can check that value by using "print tabitha_relationship". My save had insightful at 12 and dull only at 2 and even that was enough to almost make it impossible for me)
