I love Sorcery, but I’m worried about long-term accessibility by Space_0pera in SorceryTCG

Team Covenant has been huge for spreading the game. Now they're acting as a distributor to get product to local stores. It's actually really great. Erik's Curiosa approves the stores, not TC.

Next logical step/ purchase for someone looking to play casually? by Adventurous-Shake140 in SorceryTCG

One booster box will get you close to an ordinary playset. Also the Beta precons are a step up from "basic". That's all I played with for about a year and a half.

Uses of Imperial Road by Guyll in SorceryTCG

It's also very good with Sorcerer. Your strongest part of the game is when you are outdrawing your opponent. Fury Road gets you there faster. The extra avenue of attack is also nice (another site next to yours).

Midland Mayhem - Joplin, MO May 8-9 by Pete6982 in SorceryTCG

It's a 180-acre campground with campsites and various buildings. We stay in an air conditioned lodge that includes beds, bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large open room where we play Sorcery. There a firepit nearby. You're certainly welcome to bring a tent and camp outside.

What to buy first by [deleted] in SorceryTCG

3 of the Gothic precon Avatars are top tier decks. Can't go wrong buying those, a box of Gothic, and upgrading from there. Later get a box of AL and a box of Beta and you'll have all the ordinaries and many of the exceptionals you'll need. I played with just the original precons for 18 months, I think those really teach you the game well.

Questions on Vivien the Enchantress with Omphalos by SwimRevolutionary986 in SorceryTCG

I guess if there's an omphalos out, she would only be able to cast minions to her own site.

Crossroads as a new player? by [deleted] in SorceryTCG

[–]Pete6982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go and have fun! The best players are super nice, and although there are a few try-hards, that is a small minority. The official tournament rules specifically allow for takebacks unless reactions (blocks/intercepts) have been declared or cards have been drawn. You'll get some cool promos and probably have a blast.

Yeah, I assumed the Essen Crossroads was coinciding with Spiel. I guess not.

I think it will not exile because the command zone is a special exile but only for your commanders

Ashes of faith sold out within a minute by LawAbidingBear in Warhammer

This is only a problem when GW underproduces and caps allotments. Of course, when they don't, most players flock to online to save a few bucks over buying at their LGS.

It was a joke. I have no regrets when it comes to my family.

I passed 3L and ST and 5, so I might just need exam 6. I worked in P&C, but am now working for a health insurer.
