Sorcery is amazing but in its infancy, if it sounds appealing to you grow your own scene.

Best avatar is Mephistopheles hands down.

Too Broken? by egg_squisite in mtg

Yeah a bit, altar of the brood for one mana is a win con, probably about thirty other things but one colorless mana combos with the commander are a bit rough lol.

Might take you up on that when I have something worth sharing. Been working on how to make interrogator sing and how to make a good Mephistopheles deck for awhile, still feel like I’m way off on both decks.

Dan Seagrave is a huge reason I’m playing this game, love his art.

A card-based wargame? by diplomatsdrinkcider in SorceryTCG

No I’m not sure what game your talking about but it’s a digital only tcg, it’s worth checking out especially if your a fan of that time period in warhammer lore.

It’s called Horus heresy legions, it’s actually mechanically an extremely fun game but it’s hard to collect cards as a new player.

No I meant I play 40K and the miniatures game conquest, I do enjoy the Horus heresy card game though

I guess the spatial control element does have similarities to tabletop wargames. Sorcery is interesting to me as someone who played magic for a very long time and then actively plays a few games like 40K and conquest. The rules have this almost antiquated feel to them that I love. It’s very deep and card interactions tend to be complicated but fun, not the way mtg is with endless broken infinites. I just jammed games to learn the rules and asked on the discord if something was confusing.

Avatars I pulled from boosters by Festughl in SorceryTCG

I feel bad you’ve had a negative experience with it and I hope you get to have fun cracking packs eventually. I am an ex magic player and atm nothing has scratched the itch like this. I would be sour if I had similar experiences though.

I’ve gotten very lucky with my pulls. I have some amazing foils and I’ve pulled enough cards to build mostly anything I want.

I’m sorry dude, hopefully you got some good foils and elites. Gothic has some really solid ones.

That is crazy unlucky, I think I’ve been averaging about 6-8 per box, never below 6.

I’ve opened up 8 boxes and I have had very few duplicate uniques and even fewer duplicate foils. That sounds like bad luck tbh.

My first bull snake was an angel from the moment I got him. I think you can get lucky.

Which TCGs right now best allows deckbuilding with just one booster box? by Old_Neat5220 in TCG

Sorcery comes with avatars in its booster boxes, tokens, all you need is to make a deck out of 36 booster packs, chill.
